I bought this for my 10 y/o daughter for her school stuff. For under $200 you can't get wrong with this. I actually returned the $500 laptop I bought fr HSn in favor of this. The only difference is the memory. Same speed and stuff. I've used it and it's all fine to me. I even watched movie on it. My daughter loves it and where can you find a brand new laptop for $200. seriously? So hopefully this lasts her a few years before we get a new one. Love Asus!!!!

Purchased this laptop as a Christmas gift, they couldn't have been more excited. The laptop runs pretty fast and is easy to navigate around.

Looked for a good laptop with a low price for weeks and came across this one. I can not believe the speed. The cheapest and fasted laptop on the net plus from Best Buy. Can not beat that.

This was a good buy for a laptop, but Windows 8 is a strange animal. I was very disappointed that this computer did not come with Microsoft Office. I use Word & Excel all the time but since I have never bought a new computer, I was too ignorant to ask about 'Office'. Now I will have to pay separately for it. Still, I like the computer.

This laptop performs extremely well for basic tasks such as MS Office and Web browsing. It is very quiet and has an extremely fast start up. I would caution those who would look to transport this on a regular basis as it does not appear to be very sturdy. If you're going to keep this at home, it is perfect. I would recommend a quality sleeve or case if you're looking to move this laptop around on a regular basis. I would absolutely buy this laptop again. For the price paid and my basic needs, this laptop is a no-brainer!

2 of my daughters bought this laptop before going to college. It has been a great machine for them, as they use it for papers, email, research, and more. Although it is not the best laptop I have ever used, it is definitely one of the best computer values for the money. I have recommended it to many friends and associates.

These computers work just fine. They are fairly quick and fulfill their purpose. The processors are quick enough at this point but not lightning fast. Biggest drawback is that the computers feel light and somewhat cheap as far as external components. The plastic on the top already has a few good scratches from going in and out of a briefcase.

Asus not to be confused with Acer, is a really good company which delivers quality products. The price was great, it's been almost a year, win 8 laptop and no issues. For school work and browsing it's great.

I use the Laptop basically for surfing the web, emails, play games. I was surprised the Laptop is nice, easy to set up and very fast. Screen size is about enough for me. Windows 8.1 is cool and easy to use. What I don't like about it is the sound quality, very very poor sound quality. I hope they can improve on that. So far I give it an 8/10.

I bought this laptop for my 7 year old daughter. I didn't want to spend a lot of money however I also didn't want one that was going to break soon after getting it. This laptop exceeded my expectations. My daughter has been using the laptop daily for school work and learning games for about 3 months and it works great! This is our first Asus. We own other brands of laptops and computers and there's pros and cons of each one. I feel this is a great beginners laptop for the young or old.

Bought it for my father. He is not good with computers but this one is pretty easy to explain big screen, works fast for basic operations and is relatively economical.

This is a great laptop that is replacing a former laptop. Easy to use, has a number pad which is very convenient and its lighter than my former one, easy for traveling. Many in the family want to get one also to replace their laptops and desktops.

It gives me what I needed so far. I overloaded the processor when I had a few different internet browser windows open, Excel, Powerpoint, and word all at the same time. But no other issues. 10-key is ok wish it fit my hand placement better. Well worth the price.

This laptop is excellent for the Price! Most new laptops do not have a dvd drive anymore, but this one has a DVD reader/writer! Also has a USB 3.0 port and a HDMI port which is nice. The card reader works well also. I'm not a big fan of Windows 8, but with a few tweaks and add-on programs, I now have it looking & acting like Win7 while still enjoying the speed of Win8. This is by no means a gaming computer, but for the average user or for school, this is a really nice laptop full of great features. Casual games run fine & the wifi is fast and reliable. Don't hesitate to give this one a try.

For the price and all the features are super great. Specially super fast . As well with 8.1 windows already install.

I primarily purchased the computer for my home office. I'm surfing web, storing recipies, typing letters to the teachers for school, emails, home budget and school projects. It's perfect!
