So, 13 months after I bought this laptop for my daughter, i just get the review request from Best Buy. It is a decent laptop, good touchscreen, able to flip into a tablet and lightweight for her backpack. The only improvement could be a better webcam, But, you can easily disable it and add a 3rd party webcam with better definition.

The laptop works well for the amount it cost. I purchased several of these and one failed. I shipped it to the manufacturer for repair and they sent it back within 2 weeks.

this laptop is more than fast enough for most web based activities, it is basic and serves the purpose of having enough memory and speed to actively surf the web,.

The computer was purchased for my 13 year old daughter. It has been a good purchase so far. We had a friend who works on computers for a living recommend this one. Her needs are pretty basic, she plays videos, does homework and surfs the Internet. She has been using it for a month and no problems.

Pleased so far -- handles Adobe Creative Cloud and Office 2010 with no problems.

Fully functional but lacks speed for Internet surfing. Pages are slow to load. Overall processor speed is slow.

I am really pleased with the laptop I purchased for my wife. She has been able to use it for school and for the clothing business she has started up.

Bought two of these for my teenagers. They want to do video and music editing. The power with these two units is perfect for them and we didn't need all the buttons and whistles of other units. Also the feedback from my kids was the screen is awesome. In my opinion a great student laptop.

If you're looking for a cheap basic laptop -- this is it. It's excellent for the internet and checking email. Definitely buy a mouse, you'll need it.

A cheap computer for daughters schoolwork was the criteria. Keys feel a little soft/plastic but wow processing speed exceptional, thin/light, looks are fair but out strips by what it does. Outstrips my slightly older DELL but for the money......I'd swap it for my company laptop anyday.

The laptop works well for my 11. I wouldn't recommend it for someone that plans to do a lot of work on the computer. It is fine for creating documents and browsing the Internet, but we've tried to play some games and do some low key picture editing on this laptop and it is very slow.

I've had an ASUS before and when the opportunity came up to purchase this notebook for $199.00, I went with it. My only criticism with the product is that it didn't come with Microsoft Suite, however, with all of the Cloud based systems out there, including Google Docs, it's a minor concern.

I don't care for the mouse pad. If I could of located it in the store I would have opted to purchase another brand. I not interested in having apps on my computer (window 8.1.) I guess this will be the last computer I will ever need, everything can be done from my asus tablet...
