ASUS has done another fine job with this laptop. Works well and while underpowered with only 4GB of memory, after bumping it up to the max of 12GB it runs better. Screen display is good and I haven't seen any ghosting or other display issues. A good workhorse AFTER you add memory. It would have been better if ASUS made this able to accept 16GB memory.

Bought this for my father. A lot of power for the money. Has all the tools he needs. Was thinking about picking up another one for the family to use.

I purchased this laptop for my daughter who is in her junior year in college. I didn't want anything too expensive but wanted something that would be fast and satisfied her computer needs. Good laptop for the money and my daughter is very happy.

Having looked at a number of other laptops, I felt this one couldn't be beaten for the price - my single most important factor in deciding. It comfortably handles my personal requirements.

My husband and I got this for our 8-yr old for X-mas. We loved it, HE loved it! Overall a good Buy, Easy to navigate and the quality is very good!

My dog cracked my screen (which had my homework on it). I got this PC on "Black Friday" and still love it. Unfortunately, I had to get another laptop but wanted another one of these models, but my store was out of them or this model has been discontinued I think the salesperson said it has been discontinued. Anyhow, it now serves as my desktop and for the price $279.00, it is fast, plenty of memory, and plenty of Hard Drive space.

Its a great laptop, easy to use. I'm a first time Windows users, its not complicated. The only thing I didnt like is the McAfee that came installed with it, it made my computer slow with all its pop ups. I uninstalled it and its perfect now

This is the second Asus laptop I have owned and I have been very happy with both. It operates a lot faster than I expected. Purchased cyber-Monday and no problems whatsoever so far.

Bought it as a gift for my 10 year old grandson. Wonderful computer for under $300.00. Worked great out of the box and he loves it. Only knock is that it doesn't have left and right mouse keys, as they are incorporated into the touchpad

So far, so good with this purchase. It seems like a good basic computer. We bought it at a good price after Thanksgiving. I wouldn't pay the current full price for this computer. It seems pretty basic and that's great for our needs.

I purchased the asus laptop with the 500 gig of ram and a terabyte of space because I thought it would be really fast. I have an older asus computer that's smaller with the i3 that is faster. The new one works, but I expected more.

I use my laptop primarily when I work from home. It has been reliable and sturdy. It is lightweight as well, and causes no issues with carrying it around. I am completely satisfied.

Went to Best Buy in person to try out the lap tops in this price range. This one was about $260 on sale. Most had a cheaper feel to the key pad and mouse pad, this one felt like a higher quality. Speaker sound and video play was also better then the others. I wanted a DVD/disc slot drawer, this had one and most did not at the price. Another big factor was the 500G memory, I thought this would give me lots of space to save pics and other stuff. I am a casual user of web not a professional. My one complaint is that lap top does work slow on web especially when there is ad streaming. At times I must refresh web site as she will freeze up on me. I like the screen size, smaller ones did not feel right for me. Try out the ones you consider in person, this one felt right for me and still does.

You get what you pay for, great for the price and does what i need. Battery life not great, prefer windows operating system but needed something quick, and this was all they had.

Purchased this for my parents during a 'deal of the day' buy. Plenty of performance for emails and browsing which will primarily be what they will do. Only complaint would be the screen is not as bright or sharp as I would like it to be. But this may be a function of adjusting the display in Windows 10. I'm thinking I should have purchased one for myself also.

Purchased this laptop because I had friends with ASUS products that said ASUS had great customer service, and a good product. Christmas morning - my daughter opened her laptop, only to find out that the screen back light was broken, making the computer unable to be used. I took it back to Best Buy the next morning - and they had to exchange it for a new one. As we left store, there was another person in line returning the exact same computer, as their keyboard didn't work. Thinking I should have purchased the Best Buy warranty as I am now very leery of this laptop. I hope it keeps working - it's been 2 weeks and all is well...so far.

Easy to use and fast. I am just loving it. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

The laptop is well built like any other Asus product. The specs are pretty average for a normal baseline computer nowadays. My aunt uses this for Facebook games and watching YouTube videos. Gets the job done for a good price.
