like others I did not appreciate not having windows media player as a free app-pre-installed...and Windows 8 took some getting used to....but overall it is generally good for students. Having a free trial of office was nice. I do wish the key board was back-lit

Great PC, no problems, delivered as expected, great quality with the 2gb dedicated to monitor, a lot of space for music and others.

Pros: Fast processing speed at 1.7 GHz (2.4 when over-clocked), and a solid 6 GB of RAM Con: Temporary start up error when I had first set it up (black screen)

I did not get any booklet with my computer and i have been meaning to contact BestBuy to see about getting an instruction booklet for the ASUS Laptop. The laptop I bought was pretty reasonable. I just need to find out how to get the touch screen to work.

Excellent computer for the price that we paid, it even has the same features , hardware and memory has more expensive ones.

My son came with me and he said that this was one of the best computers for the price. I don't do much on it but love it.

My Asus laptop has been great so far. The processing speeds simply blow away the laptop that I had before. It's far lighter and loads much faster than machines that I've used in the past.

This is a nice basic laptop that we pretty much had already picked out and then the constant barrage from the sales associate to buy the more expensive laptops ensued for no reason even though I was walking out of dept with the model I wanted

I was looking for another laptop that i needed for school and this one does the job i can easily write my papers on here it has great battery life and does the job it has really good performance and does everything fast i love it !

Nice size and speed for the price. Not sure if I wanted to go with "off brand" but it has been working good.

It performs decently for the money I paid. I added 8GB of RAM so now there is no lag when switching apps. Had a minor issue when sending Windows 10 to sleep but was solved after a BIOS update recomended by ASUS support team.

Fast processor. Clear, large screen. Great value. Good battery life.

This was a good computer for what I was looking for. Basic capabilities, a good amount of memory space, and not windows 8. I am happy with it over all and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good reliable computer.

good solid keyboard, good overall performance - have read in other reviews that the screen is not good, but to me is just fine - check out in the store to make sure you are ok with screen if you think this is an issue

This is the best laptop I've ever purchased! It's every thing I wanted, needed, and expected...AND THEN SOME!! It undoubtedly SURPASSED my highly-held expectations and if I had to buy ANY laptop at all out of all of them, I'd buy this same laptop each and every time!! Thank you Asus and Microsoft Windows, you've made my schooling for Engineering SO much easier and a cake walk unlike before my pre-Asus laptop days!!!

We are not real computer knowledgeable , so it is taking us some time to get real familiar with the whole new machine. It is not the machines fault. We are used to windows 7 , so Windows 10 is a bit much.

Asus is a really great Laptop! It's easy to use and offered Windows 10 download for free.

So far, so good. Haven't had any problems with this laptop which was purchased for school. Not too sure about Windows 10 operating system, but that doesn't take anything away from the laptop's dynamic.
