very happy with performance ,first time purchasing a product from this company .

Decent laptop for home/everyday use, but I didn't realize that it didn't have an illuminated keyboard. It also is a bit slow when running multi-page web browsers and MS Office.

This is my son's first laptop. It has more capability than he needs but im hoping this lasts a long time. It is upgradable which will help as electronics are always improving. He is 14 and loves it. This is my second ASUS laptop from Best Buy this year. I got one for my high school aged daughter earlier. Its hard to beat the quality/functionality/price compared with other brands.

Good for students. Basic word and PowerPoint and Web surfing.

The geek squad included virus software's sticker, peeled off the install numbers when I tried to remove it to enter the required code! The unit itself is wonderful but now I have to purchase anti virus and it had this 6 month coverage that I could never use as mentioned above

It's a fine laptop but has an Uncomfortable key board.

ASus was great (2nd) one Salesperson was awesome Geeks quad had some issues with their computer and could not process my old Asus for repair All in all good experience

This laptop is great it is fast. The battery lasts longer the others.

After using a Mac....... it's not as user friendly

The laptop is decent enough to run a large computer game on low graphics. However I was told that I could install a second 4gb ram card to increase my ram, but I've recently found out that I am not able to do so. So I am disappointed that I was given false information on the laptop. Other than that it's good for just about everything else.

Lightweight and easy to set up. Great for work and home use

This computer is mostly good overall. My only complaint is that it freezes up from time to time for no reason at all. However, I am satisfied with it, and would most likely recommend to someone.

I bought this for my daughter for her school work. She has nothing but great things to say about it. We haven't gotten back her first report card grades yet, but she assures me that because this laptop works so much better than the old dinosaur she had, we will not be disappointed.

Do not buy this laptop!!!! There is a MAJOR design flaw with the keyboard. The keys have a very low profile and are very insensitive. I feel like I have to wail on them for the letters to register. The space bar is especially insensitive and constantly blends words together. After doing some net research I found this is a common problem on many of their notebooks, but it was never written in general reviews. Google "space bar keyboard problem ASUS" and see what you find. I sent it back to ASUS and they said they replaced the keyboard. Same problem. It's not a faulty keyboard, but rather a faulty design. It makes typing a nightmare. Find another product and type on it at the store to make sure there are no problems.

This laptop was purchased for my sons girlfriend and she loves it. Picked it over the HP that was the same price and this is bigger and better and comes with more than the HP. It will do everything that you want it to and it has a very fast processor and a big hard drive

Bought laptop for co worker, laptop was open box, certified. Laptop shipped to home. Worked good. Was able to update to win 8.1. Just a matter of going through the updates, and then re starting a few times. But the win 8.1 update took well no issues, everything worked. relatively fast for common tasks. Happy with purchase.

Best laptop for the best value. I highly recommend.

I do not place great demands on my laptop. I need to access email, Facebook, and want to play Farmville 2. I was told this laptop could easily handle this. It cannot. Any automatic Windows updates can freeze it up for 24 hours at a time. Farmville 2 at best is minimal and is often slow to totally frozen. The emails I receive from the company about the product are in a language other than English, I think it is Korean. This is not helpful. My son, who places much greater demands on his laptop, was told, in another state's Best Buy store, that the ASUS was the "gamer's choice." He has been similarly disappointed in the performance of his machine.
