Nice designed Chromebook at unbelievable low price! Battery is more then enough for all day working. Easy to operate. So far this is really VERY GOOD BUY!

Good chromebook for the budget. Has a big enough screen and good battery life. Display is bigger than expected, and number keyboard as well.

I got this on one day sale for $150 so can't complain. Nice large screen with 10 plus hours battery life. The case is military grade and very strong.

Excellent Chromebook. Great screen. Plenty fast. I replaced a Chromebook with an intel I-3 and this one feels just as fast. I would recommend it.

Holy moly, this is such an improvement from my older chromebook! The GIANT screen size is incredible. I've had two other chromebooks (one was 15 inches and the other was 14) and this 17 inch one is spectacular. It feels like I'm on my desktop PC but it's a laptop. Best of both worlds. I've been a chromebook fan for years due to its simplicity and I'm still a fan.

Bought this for my 14 year old son as a graduation gift because of its size. He loves looking a maps. Battery life is awesome.

This is a nice device for traveling. The screen is large enough for entertainment. Because its a Chromebook, it has great battery life.

The best bang is for the Big screen! This is perfect for youtube and browsing. The price less than $200 is a good deal. The laptop is heavy though I wish it could be lighter

Bought for $189 and have had it for about a month now. For the price you can't beat its performance. The screen is not as bright and colorful as other IPS screens out there, but let's not forget those laptops cost over $400. It's missing backlight keyboard and the numeric pad on the right is compressed, so if you (like me) are planning on typing a lot of numbers, this Chromebook may not be for you; but again for $189, it gets a solid 4 star review because of what you get for the price. I've had 6 (task demanding) chrome tabs open before and the 4GB of RAM were enough to handle them no problem. I definitely recommend this product.

I love this computer. What a great bargain. I bought a Chromebook for my parents after years of frustration to troubleshoot and update OS software on their computer from afar. It has been a game changer and a life saver. This is the 2nd Chromebook I've bought for them and would not ever go back to regular computer. The big screen is better for poor eyesight. The functionality is terrific. I LOVE THIS!

Price was fantastic ($148.00) . i am a retired guy who uses it for emails, web surfing, netflix, hulu, check all my accounts speakers are ok but when sound is needed i use wireless earbuds. if i have a few wishes. it is a bit heavy and a backlit keyboard would be awesome. 100% happy. Auto update policy doesn't end until June 2029

My five star rating takes into account the $190 sale price. I've only owned this ChromeBook for one day, but I think it is exceptionally nice for that price. My old Acer 15.6" Chromebook (CB3-532) was about the same price, and that was six years ago. It was slow and had a pretty bad display, but it had good battery life and was usable for light web browsing. Usable, but not enjoyable. This Asus is SO much better. While it doesn't feel like a premium computer, it also doesn't feel like they cut a lot of corners, and I actually *enjoy* using it. The display has full HD resolution and good color and viewing angles. If anything is noticeably lacking it's the brightness, but it's ok in normal residential lighting as long as there's not a wall of windows behind you. The 17" screen is so much more immersive than 11-15" models, the obvious tradeoff being portability. Room to room is no problem, but I'm not sure how durable such a large and inexpensive laptop would be if it was constantly on the go in a backpack. The Asus website says this line (CX1700) has Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, so it's very up-to-date. There's no dedicated video-out connector, but I tested a USB-to-DisplayPort adapter and had no issues extending the display to a 2560x1440 QHD monitor. ChromeOS now has better keyboard shortcuts for using multiple displays and desktops, so this could be productive for some cloud-based workflows. I tried using a simple painting app just out of curiosity, but the trackpad's behavior made fine control difficult. Obviously a trackpad is not the ideal input device for painting, but I've used more expensive Windows laptops that were a little more predictable. There might be some settings to adjust things like the scroll acceleration. It's not something that I notice in normal use. In summary, my initial impression is that you probably can't do better than this for browsing the web and watching video content on a big screen for under $200. I'm very impressed.
