Keeps breaking.

BB returned to the factory who did a firmware update, but the problem persists.

Sure, some people are stuck in the world of thinking smaller is better but for media consumption, browsing, etc. this is a fantastic screen size. The amount of ram could have been more for some of my uses but I can still do everything that I need to on it. I enabled Linux day one, installed VS Code, Geany, and Thonny for when I want to play around with coding / web dev while not at my home computer. I am not sure how long it would go if I used it continuously but I do get around 2 hours per day on the go and then another hour and a half at home for story time before bed. I charge it every few days so I think it would be getting around 10 hours or so. Video streaming is just fine at 1080p with no hick-ups like on lower CPU Chromebook. This is a pretty good bang for the buck, especially if you can get it on sale or an open box sale, I paid $189 open box. I'd probably pay up to $300 for another one. Would I really buy another one? Maybe to replace this one if I lost it. If I was buying another to supplement this one or for my wife I would step up to an 8GB ram model. If your needs are simple, a chromebook is a great way to go. If you are a bit of a computer nerd that doesn't need windows, Chrome OS is great for going most things and you can just enable linux so you can install any other tool you need. Aside from AAA gaming the Chromebooks these days are getting pretty good. I would consider these specs (4GB ram, 64GB storage) to be the minimum for anything beyond Google Docs, email, streaming media. For what it is, what I do with it and everything else considered, great machine, not at full price but if you can get it under $300 for sure get one. I still am giving it a 5 star even though the price is a bit rich but as well as it runs and I don't miss Windows at all when I am at home...great machine

In order to connect the Chromebook successfully to the internet, please check if it has access and within range to an established wireless router or access point and internet service is working properly since poor or unstable internet connection will definitely affect its speed or performance. It is a decent laptop for basic computing needs like web-surfing, running office applications, emailing and audio/video streaming without compromising stability and performance. We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused.
Usually, the following can be performed if the Chromebook will not power on or boot up. Verify if the AC adapter is properly connected from the Chromebook to a known good, working surge protector or AC outlet. Try to connect it to another known good power source. If running it with battery only, please ensure the battery has an ample amount of charge. If this was tried to no avail, please try to disconnect the AC adapter and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the Chromebook until the battery was charged. It will not power on if the battery was completely drained even if the AC adapter or charger is connected.

GREAT, love ChromeOS!

I haven't had my own personal computer for about 5 years now, I've been mostly using my work tablet for personal things and as I'm looking to change to jobs I figured it would be a good time to have my own. I'm no longer a gamer and the vast majority of my activity is in a browser. Only thing I'm messing with outside of that is dabling in some 3d modeling for 3d printing and there are online tools for that even that this Chromebook handles with ease. The screen is a great size, really happy I went with a larger screen (I almost thought that was going to be a mistake when I first got it out of the box), and looks quite good. It handles a second monitor easily with a dongle (40" 4k TV). Most importantly though I've become a huge fan of ChromeOS. If you are mostly dealing with browser based tasks and you already have an android phone then it is vastly superior to Windows. The integration between the two is near seamless (with the occasional connectivity hiccup that likely is my Motorola phone). I could go on for quite a while on all the other really thoughtful features baked into the OS but suffice to say it's great. My only two major complaints are with the keyboard layout. For one I miss the traditional capslock but I'm often hooking this up to an external keyboard anyway. The other is that the 10 key is nearly useless. I'm really not quite sure why they went with a shrunken 10 key considering there is plenty of room for a full size. I can only assume it's because they use this same keyboard on smaller models to have the same tooling make parts for multiple models.
