asus-17.3" chromebook
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i am not sure if this is the same computer that i purchased on a deal of the day 6 to 8 months ago but it looks identical. in fact it was such a good deal that i purchased 2 of them. kept one and gave the other to my daughter who loves the fact that it is a chromebook instead of a windows computer. it is great for basic computer operations which is what i do anyway. also, i really like the 17.3 inch screen and ease of operation. i'm not going to say what i paid but it was a great deal of the day.

When open the edges feel sharp even though they are rounded. Sluggish speed. Even opening a new tab is slow and it's not my internet speed. Touchpad is horrible. I've only had it about 3 months and since day 1 the touchpad sticks down and will get the cursor stuck all over the screen. Then other times you barely brush it with your shirt and it's clicking. Ridiculous. I have an older Acer Chromebook that still works and is MUCH better. Would not buy another ASUS.

I have had 6 different models and brands of Chromebooks and this one is by far the worst. It is very heavy for a Chromebook, weighing more than even most Windows laptops. The 17 inch screen is barely larger than my other 15 inch units. The touchpad only works in the very middle of its surface, and even then it is still quite inconsistent. The battery takes longer to charge and runs out faster than any of my other Chromebooks. Will never buy anything ASUS again. Just feels like a very cheaply made product
