    Every now and then the screen will flicker then kick you out to the lock screen. Am going to have to take the computer somewhere and have it looked at.

    I purchased this laptop for my son as a Christmas gift. He has been very excited and had looked forward to this gift. While it seemed to work well at first, he quickly experienced issues with the laptop. It's possible that the one we purchased happened to be defective, but we did end up returning the gift for refund.

    I've had the chance to spend some time with this now and I am very impressed with its performance, design, and features. It is a great laptop for everyday tasks, such as browsing the web, watching videos, working on documents, and playing casual games. It is also very easy to use, as it runs on Chrome OS, which is fast, secure, and simple. The first thing that caught my eye was the large 17.3-inch Full HD display, which has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and an energy-efficient LED backlight. The screen is bright, crisp, and clear, with vivid colors and wide viewing angles. It is perfect for watching movies, shows, or YouTube videos, as well as for multitasking with multiple tabs or windows open. The display also has a matte finish, which reduces glare and reflections. The second thing that I liked was the sleek and lightweight design of the Chromebook. It has a transparent silver color and a clamshell form factor. The build quality is solid and sturdy, with no creaks or flexes. The third thing that I appreciated was the performance and battery life of the Chromebook.     I was looking for a computer that I could wipe the existing OS from and install Ubuntu. Your salesman insisted I could do this with this computer, but when I got it home, I couldn't do it. I set up an appointment with the Geek Squad to see if they could help me and I got attitude from the person I talked to. I returned it.

    Simple set-up and lightweight for travel

    Chromebooks are great for their simplicity, but most of the screen sizes leave a lot to be desired. This 17.3 inch Chromebook removed the objection I had to giving the platform a try. It's extremely simple to set up. Just plug it in, turn it on, and log in to your Google account. This is great for a simple web access device. Social media, email, Youtube and streaming are all easy to access and perform well. For light business use, the web-based Google Drive and Microsoft Office 365 is adequate, but I'm not sure it will ever replace an actual PC laptop for full business use. Still, it makes a nice back-up and works especially well for quick trips where I need to stay connected to work but want a nice large screen for streaming movies and videos. The screen is bright and crisp with a matte finish so glare isn't a problem. Despite it's large screen, it's surprisingly light and easy to stow in a carry on suitcase. I'm getting around 6 hours of battery life when using this for media consumption and about 8 when using it for business applications and web access. All in all, this is a great backup option for when you don't want to carry your expensive laptop for travel.

    I would give this zero stars if it let me. My mother has had this computer less than a month, and it's already freezing up and having to constantly restart. BB would not allow us to exchange.

    I was misled. Told the salesperson that I wanted to use Microsoft Office and import files of them through a memory stick I had. As it turns out I have not found a way to do so on this Chromebook. It is mostly useless to me.
