    DON'T BUY ASUS LAPTOPS

I second that, DONT get into their laptops. Bought one less than a year ago and the right hinge unglued or separated from the plastic frame and when closing the lid the plastic frame broke and you can see the hinge pushing the metal back (Turns out I'm not the only one with this problem, there are hundreds of well documented cases about hinge issues with ASUS laptops). Sent it back for repair and guess what? They DONT send you a box with label to send for repair even when the computer is still UNDER WARRANTY! So had to pay $94 for shipping to see IF they will fix it. Its been 3 days and so far they are trying to say that there is physical damage. Well obviously there is physical damage. The hinge BROKE the plastic frame that holds it. You been warned!

    Another model with motherboard issues.

For a company that started out in motherboards, i am disappointed in Asus quality as of late. This is the second gaming laptop (previous model (G75VW). I had the laptop about a year, and all of a sudden, it just would not turn on. Fortunately, I did purchase the 3yr. Geek Squad protection, so I took it to the Geek Squad to be fixed. They had to ship it off to be repaired. A week later, they told me that they had to replace the motherboard. A few days later, I received another voicemail stating that the new motherboard from Asus came DOA. So, now I have to wait longer. I do not recommend Asus products. Oh, the first model I had, also had motherboard issues.

I bought two Asus laptops last Christmas as gifts. The screens on both have since cracked under normal use. I have never experienced a cracked laptop screen for over 25 years other than with Asus. I do not recommend you buy this product if you plan to travel with it or even move it.
