Small SSD ado I only keep the OS on there and use the included 1TB HDD for everything else. I use Adobe products and this laptop is quite capable of handling whatever you throw at it. Upgradable RAM available for added workload. A great value with this GPU.

After 12 years I finally was able to upgrade by laptop. After all my research I went with this one. Overall I am very satisfied with it and plan on going at least 12 years this time before another one.

I use this laptop mainly with my rift setup. It's been flawlessly fast and the two systems are very compatible. The screen image is amazing, very sharp and clear. I had an Asus before and was not real pleased with it but this one has been great.

This is the fastest laptop that I have owned. About the only thing I don't like about it is that I have no choice but to use Windows 10, which is incompatible with some of my software, such as Lightscribe.

Just bought it a few days ago, so these are only first impressions. This laptop is big and heavy (but you already know that because is a 17.3 inch machine). The screen is amazing, nice colors and the image is great. Lots of ports (USB´s, HDMI, Card Reader, Headphone Jack, and more, I know you already did some research) to satisfy most of your needs. The keyboard is very responsive, and the backlighting is good, would like to be more configurable, but is only red. I haven’t installed any games yet, but I will soon. The touchpad is very unresponsive. I have been doing some research, and it seems it needs some driver updates, but for the price, this laptop should be working fine out of the box. The keyboard is a little cramped, and it is easy to strike one key instead of another (example: trying to type backspace key, I constantly type the Asus key) The screen part of the laptop is a little loose (you hear something moving inside near the webcam). Maybe I got a bad one, but this is my second bad experience with an Asus Laptop, the other one was with an Asus E403SA, had problems with the touchpad too. So, I think this is my last Asus product. If you don’t mind using and external mouse, the rattling noise in the upper screen, and the cramped keyboard, then go ahead, this laptop is for you, if not, look for something else, I sure will be next time.

I'm not a gamer but I needed the beefed up processor for my engineering classes. It works great and I'm very happy with it. The team at Best Buy in Madison were super helpful in helping me pick out what would work best for me!

This item is top of the line for music mixing. It’s easy to use but not as versatile as advertised. Software isn’t sold with it so it’s not like an apple with lots of bells and whistles.

This computer runs Overwatch on high quality perfectly. The sound is amazing since I don't use headphones much, but it does have a headphone jack. Touch pad is a little buggy sometimes, but that's literally my only issue!

I don't wanna have a Xbox and PlayStation etc. I just want a laptop I can do multiple things on and play my games when i have free time.so this was what I chose after careful review and very happy with my purchase

Love this computer! The design and sleek look is amazing, I've had this computer for about 2 months now and I've loaded up all my games! Even the new Destiny 2 Beta game. Fast loading screen and startup!

Great laptop just disable ROG's 'Gamefirst' program

Great laptop , especially for the price !! Got it for 1299 and wound up getting almost 60$ in points ..! Super sleek, plays almost everything in ultra !

Laptop works great. I play World of Warcraft and it plays well on ultra settings. This particular model only came with 12gb of memory. It is expandable to 32gb so I will definitely upgrade that.

Here I am 3 years later reviewing this laptop. It’s capable of running anything I’ve thrown at it, and lasted a long time. Asus never disappoints!

The real selling point here is the 6G Graphics card. With that much graphical computing power you'll have no issues with anything that's coming to market in the next couple of years.

ASUS is on the road to great things. I got this on a whim. It was an open box buy. I was hoping that did not make a difference and it did not disappoint.

I'm very pleased with my purchase. Excellent value compared with other brands. I should note that I primarily use this unit for home / business needs with only light gaming use.

Excellent gaming laptop for the price.I-7, Geforce GTX 1060, 12 GB ram, SSD and rotating 1 GB drive. A larger SSD would be great (128 included) but that would increase the price.

I like this computer and am glad I got it. I would actually rate it 4.5 stars because it runs loud and gets hot but that's probably by design.

The computer is both fast and sleek, a perfect gaming device. However, the hard drive fills up fast. We would have appreciated a larger one.
