Purchased the ROG only to bring it back after some light use. Essentially the ASUS has some driver issues with communicating with the motherboard /and/or windows in regards to power settings. The laptop already had all the most recent updates from ASUS. In addition, the font utilized for the Keys made the keys very hard to see at an angle. I know it makes them look cooler, but not very useful since the keyboard layout is a little different then a traditional keyboard that I have worked on for over 30 years - this causes a bit of hunt and peck. Both these issues are not going to make some people not want the laptop - however they are a bit of a show stopper for me. Nice monitor tho'

So far is working pretty good, my only concern is when I left the computer on for one day to another the computer sometimes get very slow when I use it again, but when system normalize she work good again, my last computer didn't do that.

Have never owned an ASUS laptop and found this easy to setup and use. Use the laptop for a mixture of things - gaming, video editing and general personal/business administration. Laptop is quick and has not stumbled yet. Screen has good picture and I like the ornamentation on the laptop body. Overall impression is great. Recommend purchase.

The GL702VM has the best bang for the buck out there, the GTX1060 handles everything I threw at it in VR effortlessly as of March 2017. It's light, snappy fast, and the skinniest gaming laptop i have ever owned. It actually outdoes my desktop machine in overall performance, so its a real desktop replacement option.

After 3 + years of usage the laptop is still great. Had the battery died but was fix under warranty on its first year. The escape key fell off and couldn’t be out back. Overall the laptop is good. Kids uses this so at least it has survive.

So my husband bought this gaming laptop because he's always wanted one... I'm pretty sure this laptop is really good because he's really high maintenance and hasn't said anything about getting a better one. He's glued to it.

the computer feels so smooth and its lite. its also easy to clean and maintain. i at times feel like i dont diserve this computer it runs so well and makes games look beyond perfect.

When using this GL702vm out of the box the temps of CPU and GPU are really high when gaming. It will reach 86c easily in less than 15 minutes. Cooling pad is not helpful, maybe just a drop of 2c but I'll tell you it will still reach 86c no matter what. The only workaround is to undervolt the CPU/GPU using throttlestop. My temps drop 10c to 14c And install a third party software to control the fans to run 100% every time you game but games like GTA V and Mafia 3 can still reach high temps even if you already undervolted.
