The computer is durable, but no one has been able to get the fingerprint security feature to work. You can set it up, but it doesn't hold when restarted. Also, the processing time is extremely slow.

Bought an Asus for my daughter with 3 year Geek Squad plan. Less than a year in had replaced due to a drop. This now voids 3 year plan. Second Asus always froze, mouse stopped working. Brought in several times. This time bought one year plan. Geek squad had computer during the time the plan ran out. Laptop came back and did not work. Brought back again and said out of warranty. Never worked right. Do not waste your money. thousands in 24 months between laptops and extended warranties without a working computer.

The first time i bought this it died in 6 days. I exchanged it easily (thank you best buy). 8 months passed and it has died again! I lost so many pictures i don't know what to say. This is a terrible laptop. Pick anything other than this one.

Please save yourself the agony of dealing with notebook. The touchpad doesn't work, finger print reader doesn't work. Had it for almost one year. Asus tech support is not able to solve the issues. The cursor is not stable.

After 5 months, the hard disk crashed. After I sent it to the Asus service center, it came back with a new disk but as slow as a tortoise. Very horrible experience. Do not buy this product. It is a waste of your money.

I bought this computer thinking it would be great for school. The computer was extremely slow and crashed 3 times while I was doing homework. I finally took it back and purchased a Lonovo. Wouldn't recommend.

Due to the single core, third laptop is hugely unoptomized for anything beyond doing a single task at a time, and if you needed to do anything if it was updating, you were out of luck.

started off with the same priced hp x360 m3. the fan ran constantly at a high pitch whistle, and had fan on the bottom so hot in lap. Returned that one, got the asus, i give it 4 of 5 based on 1 day of use and excellent student discount 125$ off. Pro: fast, light, 2 in 1 smooth hinges adjustable backlit keyboard fan on back side, quiet hum battery life, 5 hrs on powersaving mode with bluetooth and location off, wifi on expandable memory (althought 8gb should be sufficient) con: no ethernet port 1 tb is nice but HDD is a bit loud, comparably priced laptops usually have SSD. personal pref at this price point would be for 128 ssd and use onedrive. might replace later best buy warranty is way overpriced. 3 years costs almost 1/2 the purchase price. battery not replaceable, to be fair few are.

This was the only available laptop at my local store and i’m Satisfied! Great size to fit my backpack, love the touch screen, can change to tablet mode when I lay down, and 1TB memory is great for students. It’s not heavy either, I originally wanted a Lenovo Yoga but I seriously don’t regret buying this one. I’ve had it for a couple of months now with no problems :)

    the track pad is horrible

The computer itself works wonderfully. I use it for papers, poetry, and lesson planning mostly. The biggest issue I have is the track pad. I am not a fan of track pads in general; however, this one is unbelievably frustrating. I use a wireless mouse because if I ever have to use the track pad it's a nightmare. It frequently zooms in when I am simply trying to scroll. It randomly will not right click. It often glitches and causes the cursor to move randomly. The only way to fix it is to restart the computer.

Great exterior, not so great interior

I bought this 2-in-1 laptop around late November and gave it to my sister as a Christmas gift. So we initially set it up on Christmas after a whole month of waiting to power it on. The laptop was fine at the time; no problems what so ever. Once it was set up, Asus has a program that lists recommended apps to download and this is where the problems occurred. It seemed that these programs caused Windows to not boot up and repeatedly gave us the "blue screen of death." For those of you who aren't as tech savvy, this laptop would be a pain to go through the process of attempting to repair it. I would NOT recommend it to anyone who isn't familiar with doing repairs or tasks such like that. What I can say is; however, those who are DEDICATED or TECH SAVVY will find an EASIER fix by loading up an ISO file on an external USB and instead of booting up to Windows on the laptop (you can change the boot priority in the BIOS), boot up from the external flash drive and set up Windows all over again as if it were a brand new laptop (the reason I decided to go out of my way to use a USB drive is all the other options weren't working and functioning as I intended to such as System Restore, Startup Repair, Command Prompt, going into Safe Mode, or even attempting to perform a hard reset. The laptop at the time did not have any documents or any personal files other than the ones we downloaded that caused the issue in the first place).

Poor design and Asus does not honor warranty

A decent laptop except that the rubber bumpers that protect the screen fall off. There are 4 of these thin white rubber lines that are located around the keyboard and fall off and get lost and Asus does not honor warranty to replace them as they claim I have caused physical damage. I no longer buy Asus laptops.

Great machine, terrible reliability ASUS q304ua

Functionality such as screen clarity, page loading, disk storage space, touch screen, are all wonderful. Reliability has been deplorable! The hard drive failed within the first three months. Ausus service required a three month turn around. I work as a scientist and cannot be without a computer that long so I opted for in house repair via the GEEK Squad (which only required 48 hours.) Fast forward six months and my screen is no longer functioning. The repair estimate is nearly 2/3 the cost of the initial cost of the machine. This type of reliability is not acceptable for consumers. I am completely unsatisfied after choosing an ASUS computer.

Do not buy this laptop. Look elsewhere

I bought this laptop a few months ago in store, and while I experienced little problems within the first few weeks of owning it, I soon experienced a myriad of issues. First of which was the touchpad; after about a month and a half I began to experience uncontrollable, rapid movement of the cursor while using the touchpad. Since it became completely unusable, I ultimately had to disable it. No amount of updating drivers or online help would solve the issue. The second issue I faced was that upon starting up the computer, very often it would go to the BIOS menu, rather than starting windows. Even when I attempted to exit the menu, it would more often than not go right back to it. As for the computer's features, the best ones would be the speakers, keyboard, touchscreen, display quality, and fingerprint reader. The camera's quality is extremely poor; you'll find better quality from a phone camera circa 2008. The touchpad, as previously mentioned, became usable after a while. Despite some of it's pretty features, the computer has become extremely stressful to use, and is not anywhere near the level of quality the price would demand. If I could exchange the computer, I would in a heartbeat.

    Pretty solid little machine overall.

The one main drawback is the location of the on/off switch which is easy to hit by accident when handling like when switching to tablet mode. It's a little heavier than a tablet and it can also get a bit warm, but it's still a tight, compact little machine for the money, has good memory and storage, and I'm glad I bought it for on the road. I say "little" because my other Asus laptop is 17.5".
