    Worst Laptop Ever

This is by far the worst laptop I've ever owned. It's slow to boot, slow to surf the web, slow to do anything simple. I'm not even a gamer. I just do school work and basic things with it. I've had to reboot twice today just to send emails with attachments. I've had Geek Squad send it out twice in the less than 6 months I've owned it. The mother board has been replaced and it came back just as slow. Aside from that, the power button is in the worst place. My wrist hits it almost every time I adjust how I'm holding it in my lap, causing the screen to turn off and then it is at least 3 minutes for it to come back on. Poor design, poor performance. I have never owned a laptop this bad in my entire life! Save your money or if you buy this, get the warranty. You're going to need it.

I have had this computer for a little over 2 weeks and the tablet mode stopped working. I called Asus for support to fix and and we went through the process and eventually it still was not working and I have to reset the entire computer to hopefully fix it. I will be returning this computer as soon at it’s done resetting. Don’t Cheap out and get this, go for a more reliable brand and quality of 2 in 1.

don't expect any help from customer service

When I first bought this computer I did a lot of research and was really excited about the purchase. It seemed like a great laptop: light, quick, beautiful, and had great reviews. When it was working properly, it was easy to use and I did like it, but after not too long I began having problems with the hard drive and the computer's mouse kept going phantom, freaking out and ended up shutting down multiple times during lectures when I would be trying to take notes and when I would study. Customer service at Asus was the least friendly, least helpful, and least caring I've ever dealt with. I sent my computer in to be fixed and it took 3 weeks to even find out if they had received it (because I called) and I was told they were waiting for a part from overseas. When it finally was returned, it crashed the very next day. thankfully, Best Buy was more honorable and wound up allowing me to return it for an exchange (FINALLY) today, after their having replaced the hard drive themselves and me being in and out of there multiple times over the past 10 months since the purchase. I may just be unlucky with the problems this computer experienced, but based on my customer service experience I will never purchase another Asus computer again. I would advise you to choose very carefully if you are considering one of their products.

    The worst laptop!

This has to be one of the worst laptop i have ever owned. It started freezing after 4 months or so. I dragged it for another few months before it completely gave up. It will turn on but wont let me do anything. I tried system recovery but failed. In short a really bad experience. Shed $700 on it and used for few months and lost a lot of data. Called Asus customer service and found then to be no help!

    Touchy Touchpad

I was very satisfied with the performance of this unit until approximately 6 months after purchase when the touchpad began responding erratically: slow or non performance, the "ouiga" effect whereby it would follow its own path, etc. On ocassion the touchpad would decide that I want a 150% zoom factor vs my preferred 100%. I brought it to my local handyperson who mentioned that he had seen similar review problems but was something that could be costly to repair, if at all possible. Since I was out of warranty, I resigned to relying solely on mouse movement. On the ergonomics side, I found the power switch in an inconvenient side location as I am forever inadvertently shutting down when I would readjust position, or pick it up and move to another location. Not sure if I have the proverbial lemon relative to the touchpad issue, but evidently others have experienced similar problems when reading reviews on the Best Buy site.

    Stay Away

Bought this laptop in January 2018, and the processor was as slow as can be. Starting up the computer took anywhere from 45 seconds to 2 minutes. There were times when I had to hard reset the computer because of freezing during start up. In a world where everything is now on the cloud and storage is no longer an issue, I'm reminded to always opt for SSD instead of a Hard Drive. The difference in speed across the two is significant, The location of the power button was technically flawed by placing it on the side of the laptop where most people would often inadvertently touch. It was a shame that this laptop had a design flaw. I previously had the Zenbook and that was night and day compared to this junk.

Good product, easy to use but the power location should be in a better place.

So computer is not the best the processor is slow constantly slows down crashes and does not play online videos on YouTube without buffering. Also when I first got the pc it ran slow after some tweaks it ran a lot better had it for a year and now is just in a constant loop when starting up the pc. This seems to be happening because of a file or hard drive not being recongzied. Terriable pc look elsewhere you can spend less and get a much better pc.

    Not a good device

On August 18, 2017 Mike Talon wrote a review that I wish we had read in advance. This is not a good product and the issues are too many to note. The major ones are a poor Microsoft 10 adaption and just plain slow with loads of connection issues and constant calls for updates. Save yourself and keep looking for a better computer...and if you can go Apple. We have many Apple products and they are wonderful
