Fast and reliable.. but no usb ports, has usbc... have to get additional adaptors etc. kind of a pain. And for me key board too small, keys too close together, arrow keys too small.

Asus has a reputation for building great laptops but this one overheats very quickly no matter what surface is used.

    Best Laptop/Notebook for work!

I spent HOURS researching laptops, notebooks and desktops. The security thought I was going to steal a laptop because I kept circling the laptop section in the store. I picked up each laptop, compared number of usb ports for my liking. Even spent the time reading reviews online on my phone while I simultaneously looked at the computer in front of me. I wanted to be sure that the hp I originally came to pickup was right for me. THEN I SAW HER. What a beut. This baby is lightweight, fast, and efficient to work on! The clarity of videos is amazing. Its quiet unless you've used it for 5+hours straight while multi tasking like I have. When I mean "unless" I mean that it has a noticeable fan sound that is barely heard under the quietest circumstance. I haven't used the pen yet but ill be sure to update my review for that. The battery life is great. At 100 percent and placed on battery saver I have found that it last me a good 9 hours with multitasking and 25 percent brightness. The touchscreen is great and did not find it glitchy like those terrible androids people buy from knock-off phone services. Aesthetically this asus is chic and classy, you'll definitely have people ask what computer is that or where did you buy it. As mentioned its light and slim. You'll forget that its in bag. The camera is fantastic definitely better than your selfie mode on your average current iPhone. In regards to gaming.. I've only played LOL on It but it handled it pretty well. I've also connected another monitor to test how it handled gaming on another monitor. It did well BUT I still implore anyone who is going to be gaming to get a desktop or gaming laptop. This is definitely meant for work and not for gaming or pushing the graphics card (you'll hear it from your fan or feel the temp). The keyboard is comfortable and mousepad is smooth. In regards to speed.. Let me just say that I am a cheap person. I was still on my hp computer that had i3 processor and a ram of 8gb. It wasn't entirely slow but man you can tell how far we've come by using this asus. Writing Papers or emails has never been this fun! (jk). There is still a lot of features I have yet to test but I am excited about it. I strongly recommend this laptop for anyone seeking for PROFESSIONAL OR EDUCATIONAL usage. This is too expensive for leisure and too expensive to risk overworking on gaming.

We returned this product, my daughter had many issues with it overheating. When we took it into Geek Squad, they commented about how hot it was, we replaced it with another brand. The previous ASUS model we had, we had no issues.

    This laptop met my expectations.

Ok, I will first start off by stating that this laptop met my expectations 100%. I bought a Dell 2-in-1, the next day I exchanged it for this one because of the extra storage (+256GB) and because ASUS. They know their gamers. **PROS** -Intel 8th Generation CPU (Integrated Intel HD Graphics so you can't really game on this.) -512GB of SSD storage. -16GB of RAM. -Backlit Keyboard (Though the "G" on my keyboard shines the brightest for some reason) -HARMAN/KARDON Speakers!! (Sounds very well/loud/deep: You can hear some bass, I was surprised when I first tested these, this is definitely one of the top reasons why I will keep this computer. -Clean Aluminum Finish (Reminds me of a Macbook Pro) -HD Display (1920x1080) -USB-C Charging & Data Transfer (I keep mine plugged in with Asus" Maximum Lifespan Mode ON) *Battery will last longer over the years (HUGE PLUS) Asus really knows what their customers are like. -Fan speed picks up when under heavy load (rendering videos for Youtube 1080p30FPS) BUT is very quite during normal use. Sounds like there's no fan at all. -Battery life, I have not tested the battery life from 100%-0% but I have from 60%-10% (Lasts a couple of hours with brightness & keyboard light set to about half/lowest) I fell asleep without the battery completely draining. So I can say the battery life is pretty good. Will definitely last you the entire day if you use it without heavy load. -Free Stylus & Adapter (USB 3.0/HDMI/USB-C) *I have a mouse plugged in but I need more USB ports so I will definitely be buying a 4-Port USB Hub so that I could use my mouse, charge my phone and transfer data. (You can get one at WM for around $10) -Lightweight. You can use it wherever you want **CONS** -My adapter, as I type this, is currently making an buzzing/electronic sound. It almost sounds a very faint junebug going off repeatedly. -The letter "G" stands out when the backlit keyboard is on. G is noticeably dominant. My brother was like "Why is the G brighter than the other letters??" hahaha. -I was rendering a video (1080p60FPS) but it was taking way too long, I understand 60FPS does take a lot longer but I did not expect it to take over an hour for a <10 minute video. But it does the job with lower rendering settings. - Using Sony Vegas 13 I had a long drone video (about 20-30 minutes long @ 1080p60FPS) was trying to edit it but the preview screen kept lagging. Did not find a fix for it. Would not recommend trying to edit videos longer than 10 minutes. -Google Chrome freezes up for a couple of seconds, not sure if this is a problem with google chrome or with the computer. When this happens I am not under heavy load. -Windows 10, if you do not like mandatory/automatic updates when turning off your ultrabook, you can completely disable them under "services" -Needs more USB ports Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes and no. Yes, if they have the money for it. No, if they are on a tight budget. Would I recommend this to a gamer? No, you can get a BEAST of a PC with $1200. (i7 7700K & 1070) under $1200. I believe Best Buy has one going for $1159 right now. Only reason why I decided to get this is because I can do my work wherever I please to and it's powerful enough to do basic tasks and mid-level rendering/processing. Will be using this for the next few years. Thank you!

Pros: Light, fast, and responsive. I can switch seamlessly between tablet mode and normal mode. The Asus pen that was designed for it was cheaper than the Wacom model. I downloaded and installed Windows Journal x64 to satisfy my fix to write longhand. There are four speakers that provide good fidelity considering the machine's dimensions. Sounds even better with headphones in the 10HZ - 20KHZ range. No complaints streaming Netflix. The screen provides vivid colors. The keyboard is responsive with large keys. The battery lasts all day with the Battery Saver option enabled and performance is not affected. Annoyances: The power button should be recessed. It can be pushed accidentally when flipping in & out of tablet mode. The solution is to configure Windows to do nothing when the power button is pressed which leaves the only ways to shut down or put the machine to sleep is through the GUI or through closing the lid. I can live with either. Palm rejection is good in theory. The Windows 10 option to "disable the touch function when using the pen" is also good in theory but needs to be reworked. If you're writing longhand and lay your hand on the screen before the pen is detected, touch goes into effect. Since I have more use for the pen than I do for the "touch" option, I found a way to control the touch function through a system tray utility. Summary: The Asus Q325 fits well with my lifestyle. I'll be using it for a long time.

I have owned previously for 4 years asus laptop ux31a, that still works perfectly. I decided to upgrade it with this model, only due to lighter weight (1.1kg), nicer keyboard and more OS memory of 16 gigs. First the fan sound scared me, since there were many background installations. Generally it is silent, fast and the flipping touch screen can be used in a variety ways. I recommend buying screen protector, sd card reader and you will the happiest owner of the laptop.

I spent 1300 for the laptop to replace a surface, what a huge mistake. the only port is a usb-c, to use HDMI and USB a "minidock" is included. It crapped out within 40 days, Called asus, its an accessory, not covered. At 45 days I can't return it to best buy, Skip ASUS,

    Favorite computer

This is a good little computer. I've had it for about four months now. It definitely has more processing power than I need (I'm a college student and I mainly use my laptop for Word, Excel, internet, and taking notes). However, I was willing to pay for this one because I needed something really light weight since I have back issues, and also I want something that will last awhile. This was about as light as I could go without getting a Macbook Air or a tablet (I didn't get a Mac because Macs don't interface with Excel very well and I use Excel a lot, and I didn't get a tablet because I wanted something with more power). This computer is super light weight which I love. It's also extremely smooth and fast, which I used to think wasn't that big of a deal, but now I realize it makes such a big difference. Those two items (it being light-weight and smooth/fast) carry the most wait in why I love this computer so much. Also, I love that it can flip back into tablet mode. It's just nice that the screen is so flexible (flexible as in, it can bend back really far). I also love that there are mini USB (I think that's what they're called) plug-ins on both sides of the computer so I can plug in the charge chord on either side. LOVE that feature. And it comes with an adapter so I can still plug normal USB's in if I use the adapter. Cons: -The really annoying thing has been that it sometimes randomly shuts off when I have the lid closed. I can't figure out what's causing this. Sometimes it will go days without happening, and other times it will happen multiple times in one day. -The power button, sound buttons, and finger pad sensor to log in are all placed in an awkward spot on the side of the computer which is annoying. -The resolution on the camera is TERRIBLE. -Wish it was a Mac sometimes since I have an iphone. If it was a Mac, then all my electronics could be connected and I would be able to text on my laptop -Sometimes the fan spins a ton and it gets really hot even though the computer is not necessarily working extra hard or anything. -Came with a stylus pen thing that I can't get to work Would recommend to a friend. Though also slightly hesitant to because of the issues with it randomly shutting off.
