I already sent the laptop back to ASUS once through Geek Squad as there were missing parts in the charging port. While my 6 year old daughter is doing remote learning, I can’t go another 2 weeks without a laptop because it’s with the manufacturer again. Last night, I thought it was charging all night because the charge light was on only to wake up this morning and find it with no juice. It’s a good laptop when it works.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your issue with the laptop not charging, this must be frustrating. Please verify if the AC adapter is properly connected from the Chromebook to a known good, working surge protector or AC outlet. Try to connect it to another known good power source. If this was tried to no avail, please try to disconnect the AC adapter and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the Chromebook until the battery was charged. When I ended up using it at home it was not what I needed. Chromebooks are very limited to what you can do on them and being a college student limited isn’t what I need in a laptop.
