    I hate this chrome book, not sure if I didn't do my research correctly but would not recommend it. Keyboard is not easy to use can barely see the letters and does not light up. Also not compatible with office 365 in particular excel. Waste if money.

    Whoever designed the thing was definitely on drugs. This laptop is extremely impossible to open and you can't see the letters on the keyboard because they're almost the same exact colors as the buttons. Totally lame

    Worst ever! Every time you turn it on it makes you log into your Google account again, and gives you no options to log in other than entering the pin. Who ever remembers their pin!! I hate it

    Spend the extra money and get a better laptop

    Laptop would not stay connected to wifi, constant reloading and slow processing. Maybe a better processor or higher end chrome book would be worth the extra cash, returned for full refund.

    This chrome book has been nothing but trouble since the day I bought it. I have only had it for 6 months and now it has completely stopped working.

      Dear Katt,

      Usually, the following can be performed if the Chromebook will blackscreen or not boot up suddenly.

      Please verify if the AC adapter is properly connected from the Chromebook to a known good, working surge protector or AC outlet. Try to connect it to another known good power source.

      If running it with battery only, please make sure the battery has an ample amount of charge.

      If this was tried to no avail, please try to disconnect the AC adapter and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings.

      After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on Chromebook until battery was charged.

    Very pleased. Easy and quick to setup. Screen and speakers are great. Processor is responsive. Like the back-lit keyboard more than I thought. My use is mainly searches, viewing videos and listening to music.

    Father's day present. Second ASUS chromebook. Fastwer than my granddaughter's Macbook. But, you see that "w" in "fastwer"? That happens all the time because I can't read the keys. Silver on silver? Which wiz kid came up with that? I have to adjust the backlight constantly just to see the keys. And, whoever developed this design never had to open it. A great present, I would not have bought this for myself. My 3 year old ASUS is still lightning fast and is a much better design.

    Nice laptop with few flaws

    Love the thinness of this laptop and the overall premium aesthetic. The only things that aren’t perfect is the build quality (some areas are a little flimsy) and the touchscreen, which isn’t as easy to use and fluid as something like and ipad.

    She just needed a basic computer for email and web browsing, light document work, skype, etc. She didn't need the full Windows hassle, or the sky-high price of a Mac. This ChromeBook fit the bill perfectly. I set it up for her, and she is thrilled with it. Excellent display, plenty of storage and ports, big trackpad, fast and secure. Asus is a good brand, do not confuse them with Acer, who abandons their products right after the sale. ChromeOS is here now. Lots of good apps in the app store, all cheap or free, including a decent free replacement for MS Office. GMail is your best email option nowadays, and Chrome is the number one browser; Firefox is also available. Haven't really tried the convertible touchscreen, but it's a nice option to have. Built-in GPS would be nice too, but you can't have everything! Only real complaint is that the silver keys on the keyboard can be hard to read in some lights, especially strong side-lighting. It would be better if the keys were black, but you can move the machine a little and the problem goes away.

    Asus continues to make fine products. This Asus Chromebook is very attractive, and well built. It is very fast and has a beautiful display. I enjoy working on it and it certainly satisfies my computer needs. I would recommend this computer without hesitation.

    Old, Outdated, and Overpriced

    Older model that is now outdated with only DDR3 RAM that is not upgradable and a very slow processor. Very overpriced at the claimed regular price of $529 and rated mediocre performance in published reviews. Get a new or recent model!
