    The Asus 2 in 1 packs some good power for being a small laptop/tablet, but it needs more improvement since the device will overheat quickly when being used as tablet on ones lap. the vents are at the bottom instead of the side which means they get block easily, and once it starts to heat up everything goes haywire

      I do understand your concern about thermal issues. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, this is a random problem. It is normal that heat will be generated, hotter than normal while the laptop is under heavy load like, WINDOWS Update and antivirus scan. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full-throttle. It does decreases or normalizes once utilization goes down.     Worst laptop I have ever owned! It will only work when I keep it plugged in. The battery and electric cord have been replaced, but still doesn't hold a charge. Also, the headphone jack stopped working. That all happened in less than 6 months after buying new!

    The computer works fine. But the screen cracked when we opened the computer. There was no drop involved.

    Won't get out of sleep mode. I don't even have sleep mode on. I have to shut it off and turn it back on every time I use it. Will not record zoom meeting. Files do not save on the unit. Will not save video files, after I cut the video in provided software, that I had to import from my old computer, because the this one won't record zoom. Zoom Video has lines going across screen to point where others commented on video quality. Mouse pad stops working properly every 10 minutes or so. Doesn't sense my fingers properly. Battery life is horrible! Unit gets hot when it is in that "sleep" mode. Also the sound wouldn't work the other day on a video call for my physical therapy. I had to use another device. I find myself having to constantly use another device. It's completely unreliable. I shouldn't have to spend all this time babysitting something I spent $900 on. Horrible!

      Do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience if you are experiencing stabililty or performance issues with the laptop.

      About waking up from sleep mode, if the laptop has been in sleep mode for a long time, the power button needs to be pressed and held down until the unit wakes up successfully. Or, if a recent WINDOWS Update was just installed, the unit will go into a black screen temporarily while updates are being applied in the System Registry. Another solution to try is to shutdown the unit completely by pressing and holding the power button until it power off. Wait for at least 10 seconds then press the power button to power on. Wait until the unit bootup normally into the Home screen.

      Video-conferencing software like Zoom requires a stable high-speed internet service or connection in order to work properly. Please ensure the laptop has access to an established wireless network. Poor connection will most likely cause stability and performance issue. Also, please make sure Zoom is running with the current version and record was enabled in order to save sessions successfully.

      In order to maintain optimum system stability and performance, features or cumulative WINDOWS Update needs to be installed periodically.

      In order to improve or prolong the battery charged time, please try to do a battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the system. Once fully-charged, please use the system, without the AC adapter connected, and drain it completely again. Please repeat the charging process thereafter. Also, please verify if the unit is running with the most current system update and third-party battery draining applications are not running if not in used.

    Worked great, until the WiFi hardware went out

    Was a great laptop, until the wifi hardware went out, rendering it useless. I went through almost every possible solution to get it fixed, from installing to the latest drivers and to the point of reinstalling the whole Operating system. If not for the wifi hardware failure, this laptop would have gotten maybe 4 stars.

      Absolutely, the laptop is a great product!

      If drivers and the OS are up to date, please uninstall the WLAN device in the Device Manager, do a system restart and let Windows autodetect the device and install the correct driver properly. Also, please verify if the unit is within range to an established wireless router or access point and internet service is working properly. A

      You may also need to go in the Device Manager, Network adapters, click on the Wireless LAN then click on the Power Management tab, unchecked the boxes and click the "OK" button to save the changes.

    While it started great, started experiencing battery issues (3 hours max per charge) and now getting blue screen due to memory hardware problems. What a piece of junk!

    We purchased this laptop for our daughter for school. While shopping around, we found the specs to be impressive compared to other machines in the same price range. We've owned other Asus products before and have always been quite satisfied. We were excited with our new purchase which we hoped would last a while. My daughter enjoyed the machine which she worked with often while in school. Then out of the blue, the screen began to go dark until the laptop was no longer usable. What began with so much promise and excitement has turned into a rather expensive paperweight only 18 months after purchase. The cost to replace the screen is nearly half of what the laptop is currently worth. No other words to say than truly disappointed. Now we're looking for a new laptop and I can firmly say that our next one will not be an Asus.

    this is the same model I had before but this one calls itself a notepad only has one usb port no dvd player so can't add programs that only come in disc the pointer jumps around when not touching it and the bottom is very hot as is the converter I loved my old asus but not sure about this one

      Thank you for writing a comment for the product. I do understand your concern about the USB port and the inconvenience this may have caused you if it doesn't come with a DVD drive. The laptop comes with 2 USB ports. It was not advertised having a DVD drive. Mostly, if not all, applications can be downloaded and installed from the web. However, if a DVD drive is a necessity, an external USB optical drive can be used. I do understand your concern about thermal issues.
