    I purchased this computer to work from home, this is he worst computer I have every owned. I usually stick with Dell, HP, Mac, but a Geek Squad guy told me this was a great computer, It stopped charging 3 months after I had it, not the charger, something in the lap top, mailed it back to the company, took forever, got it back it charged but they did not put the case back together correctly, it is bowed and some of the keys are flush with the case and others are normal, it makes it difficult to type and it sounds like the hard drive is spinning and hitting something, it has both a HD and a SSD, the mouse pad stopped working shortly after, and now it will only charge when I hold it a certain way. Last time I buy and Asus computer, and last time I take the word of the Geek Squad, I should have done my own research.

    Battery died after 3 months !!!

    Laptop generally good performance and display. HOWEVER - battery died after only 3 months !!! Indicator shows approx 72% capacity - but when AC adapter unplugged, laptop just shuts off. Took into Best Buy for Geek Squad to fix. Apparently, hardware problems need to have unit sent away for approx 2 weeks. As this laptop is used for daily work, a two week "in the shop" is simply unacceptable. When the Geek Squad plan was purchased, it was not explained that in-store repair was limited to software related issues - hardware would always require sending unit away. Tried finding a replacement battery on-line from alternate sources - the battery in this laptop is apparently uncommon and rare to find. One source I found wanted pictures of the battery and identifying markings on it. This would require opening the laptop to obtain said info. It is difficult to believe a replacement battery cannot be obtained using the model number of the laptop. Does ASUS really build laptops that are so unique that something as common as a battery needs to be specifically identified ??? I cannot recommend this laptop due to the poor performance and lack of battery reliability.

      I certainly understand your disappointment with the quality of the product and the inconvenience this may have caused you. You may be able to find replacement battery online. You may try to calibrate the battery or refresh it. Disconnect the AC adapter and fully-drained it, leave it unplug for at least 24 hours then charge it fully without the system power on and being used. Please repeat this process a couple of times.     Multiple major failures

    9 months after purchase, the battery stopped charging. Had to send it in and it took 3 weeks to get back. 16 months after purchase, the laptop screen randomly went black and never worked again unless plugged into a monitor. I'm fairly tech savvy so I went through a number of potential fixes including updating all drivers, bios, hard resets, safe mode, etc. They're effectively shipping poor quality products and not standing behind their products.

    very disappointed. one week after warranty expired, battery connector to motherboard broke for no reason whatsoever. repair shop said the only way to fix was to install a new motherboard, which costs as much as the laptop itself. Things like this should NEVER FAIL in a quality product or the manufacturer should stand by it. Don't buy ASUS.

    Thought it was the perfect laptop for school...

    I am a college student, and when I saw this laptop a little over a year ago, I was really stunning by the looks of it. Beautiful looking laptop and the display was amazing. Using it a lot for my Chem and Bio classes, but as of recently, this laptop has become unusable. I am constantly getting blue screens during class, and I have to keep restarting my laptop while trying to take notes, that is if it decides to stop giving me the blue screen. I haven't used it a lot until maybe 3 months ago, so I am surprised I am getting these issues on a laptop that has not been used much. If thinking about getting this laptop, I would say don't.

      If you started experiencing stability issue and getting blue screen of death, please make sure Windows is up to date in order to maintain optimum system stability and performance.

    Black screen after inserting pin

    Dears, I bought 2 of Asus Q536F's from bestbuy a few days brand new, it is great and fast I love it, on one of my computers the screen turns black after inserting my pin code to sign into the account and it won't open for a while. It is strongly disappointing, because I didn't even install any program. Please help to fix this issue

    Poor ergonomics

    I owned this computer for about one day, but it's going back asap. My decision has nothing to do with the way the computer operates, It has to do with the lower part of the screen when the computer is open it sticks down pass the base of the computer by about half inch, so as you resting this 4.5 lb computer on your lap you have the base of the screen diggin in to your legs. Is a poor design that makes this computer very uncomfortable to use.

    Problem with touch screen

    The Laptotp was working perfect until i started using it more often. The problem that happens is that sometimes it start appearing bubbles in the screen like if i would be touching it everywhere and i cannot control it. I thought was a Microsoft office problem because was happening while i was working in Excel, but i unistall it and i have also experience it now, i tryied to fix it with ASUS SUPPORT but they just couldnt fix it, and their answer was you bought it in BST BUY so they have to fix it. I bought it less than a year a go and was perfect until this problem that is really a big one. Is like the touchscreen goes crazy time to time. Hope i get a solution

Normally, ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or, part that stop working prematurely under normal usage. Please try to disconnect any third-party devices connected to the laptop and connect it to another known good power source, and install all WINDOWS Update if the OS is not current.     Low your expectations on this great laptop

    Great product but just last about 3 years. If you ram fails … you are screwup. Asus had the great idea to build the ram into the mother board. Which means. The cost of getting a new mother board is same as getting a new laptop.

    Way too fragile

    The screen cracked the first time I went to close it - didn’t even manage to set it up. Neither Best Buy nor Asus cover physical damage so now I’m stuck with it. $1500 machine shouldn’t be this fragile. I should have opted for HP.
