I had to return as the fan's noise was too loud when I say loud its too loud trust me.

I needed this for business needs. I was not aware of the limitations of a chrome book for that purpose and so it did not work for me at all.

It is a really really great Touch-Screen Chromebook.

I was amazed at the excellent build quality and feel of this Chromebook. Definitely felt like a solid device and feature loaded. There was a 'tax' to be paid for this, and that is the weight. It is not light, and maybe about twice the weight of another Windows laptop that I have. The weight would definitely be an issue if I carried this around a lot. The white color was different and added to the premium feel. The keys are back lit, and the keyboard is substantial. The feel is good, and the machine is preppy. Loading YouTube was quick and playing was seamless without lag (I have fast 400mbs internet which I am sure helps). There is a numerical pad as well. The screen/ keyboard does flip a full 360 degress so it can be used as a tablet or made to stand keyboard down for movie watching (without the keybaord being in front. The keyboard becomes a stand of sorts). I wish there were more ports and a card reader. There are 2 USB C ports, and one USB port. I like Chromebooks as they do almost everything like a Windows computer, but downloading some programs definitely is a challenge (open office). This Asus is definitely one of the better, if not excellent ones.

Laptop was nice and sleek but I couldn't run the programs I needed on it because it was a chromebook so I ended up returning it

The Asus C536 is marketed as a premium Chromebook, and for the most part it checks all the boxes I'd expect of a premium product. The build quality is great, the screen is awesome (if only 1080p), and speed is excellent given the typical use case for a Chromebook. The Tiger Lake i3 and 128GB SSD provide a really snappy experience that suits Chrome OS well. Right out of the box I loved the build quality and feel of the C536 - it may be plastic but it has a great premium feel that is excellent at the price point. That premium feel is undercut a bit by how weighty the Asus feels - it's just really heavy. Surprisingly so. Compared to some inexpensive Chromebooks I've used, that weight could be used to disguise other cheap aspects of the build, but with the Asus this really isn't the case. It's just heavy and that's just the only downside to the overall build of the device. The speakers are AMAZING, though. They are advertised as Harman Kardon tuned and they are simply the best speakers I've heard on an inexpensive laptop in well... forever. I was really impressed with the audio quality for youtube vlogs and other voice heavy streams especially. There just isn't that weird tinny or boomy quality you get with cheap speakers. They sounded really natural and impressive. The speakers alone give this an extra star. Back to the negatives, aside from the weight I did have an issue with the trackpad on the Asus C536. Other reviews have complained that theirs felt broken or defective, but I would not say that is the case for mine. Out of the box, it just felt way too floaty. Moving my finger over it, I could feel the springs giving a little with the slightest touch, and at first I thought mine was having similar defects. However, after a few harder than usual presses when clicking things with the trackpad, the feel has gained some normality. After a week of use, I would describe the C536 as having a floaty trackpad with just a wee bit more play than I would prefer, but far from bad. I'm not sure why but I also had to adjust the sensitivity of the trackpad down one notch in the OS as well, which I've never done on a Chromebook before. Overall, I really like this Asus chromebook and am anxiously awaiting the release of their USI stylus so I can use the 15 inch screen to its full potential. If you're looking for a quick, brilliant screened, solid chromebook this is definitely one to look for.

3 weeks after purchasing, the right cooling fan has started making grinding noises. Too late to return it. Other than that it is performing well.

It’s a Chromebook so you’re very limited with what you can use it for. Returned it for a regular laptop.

broke after limited use. hard to get parts for. in the end i had to throw it away

its not worth it. choose the surface tablet, so much better

This computer battery life only last 4 hours and when you try to download a app some of them keep crashing like highrise and clash of clans don’t run it keep crashing and this computer battery kept on glitching it would be full and it say empty need to charge it does that for ten minutes then it go back to saying full again so it glitches that’s why I returned it .
