The price and selection of Chromebooks was pretty amazing and made the choice difficult. The knowledgeable salesman made the difference for me. Our last Chromebook lasted over 7 years and 'they' have really changed.

After having owned three other not "premium", it's notably superior, but has some odd behavior. Granted it may be ChromeOS related, there's a couple of small things... First I want to note that this is my first ASUS, its brand being my biggest issue. ASUS is aggressive in pushing their world on you, to sell and involve you, in virus-like ways. ASUS Drive? It showed up on my PC! without me downloading it! Also their support has not been effective for me. And this review was solicited by them (their link to set it up failed however) with this offer: "Leave a review for an eligible product at one of the below retailers and you MAY qualify to receive a 90 day warranty extension!" The "may" is my caps, highlighting the vagueness, as I have no idea what parameters are involved, but imagine with this paragraph I won't get it. If you read the list of features, well, this laptop is every bit as wonderful as it appears it would be. Even so, this rides a thin line into the "Premium Chromebook" club. Nonetheless, the 11th gen i-3 is super impressive, the noisy fan is conveniently located in the back, and doesn't actually cycle on very often (I am neither a gamer nor use Adobe products) and cycles back off rapidly. Using the swipe to multiple desktops is anything but smooth, though smoother than my low-end Chromebook. And scrolling on certain websites is really uneven, either barely scrolling, and then going right to high speed. I tried an app to compensate for the poor mouse control and even that high rated app couldn't overcome the limitations. The touchscreen is mostly great, but not as smooth as either my 2-in-1 PC or 2-in-1 low end Chromebook. All different brands. Aesthetically its a 5*, super 'slick', thin, quality feel, and surprising heavy given the amount of plastic. One odd thing, I finally have a 8GB Chromebook, and find that it runs at nearly as much RAM usage as my 4GB ones. In each case between 1/2 and full usage doing similar stuff. There's probably an innocent technical explanation for that.

It took a minute to get used to Chromebooks after using regular laptops for many many years. Now I love it. I use this for my home and business and it is amazing.

Love my new Asus Chromebook! 10 key pad is awesome to have and I can flip it all the way over, place it over my steering wheel and read my books while waiting for my son at hockey practice!

I bought this to replace a laptop that died. The screen is almost as large as the laptop, and the keyboard is full size, making it easy to type. My wife's chromebook is much smaller, making it difficult to type on. This unit has an HDMI port like my laptop did. That comes in handy when traveling and staying in hotels. Bring an HDMI cable and connect it to hotel TV and we can then watch anything we want from our Netflix and Amazon accounts instead of renting something through the hotel. Nice to have a chromebook so no anti virus needs to be purchased. Very happy with this device.

Very fast, but pretty big and heavy. If you want something that’s portable, this is not it.

The computer works great. It is fast. The screen is good. It is sturdy. however, the screen can be more brighter.

So far so good! Opted for this model as it is one of the few that has a numerical keypad which is helpful for data entry. Great screen quality, nice backlit and responsive keyboard!

I really like this Asus Chromebook. It is lightning fast and the screen has a nice brightness on the high lite set. Another feature I like is the keypad. It also has lots and lots of storage. I am retired and do not need a windows system as this does every task I want or need it to do. The only drawback is the battery life but I will not be traveling with it so I don't care about that. I think the battery life is 10 hours more than what I will need. Great touchpad response and the touchpad is very smooth. The speakers are very good and you can really hear the sterio from them.

This was a birthday present for my 11th grade granddaughter. She has a Chromebook that the school provides for here, but isn’t as big as this Asus 15.6. This was a open box purchase with a excellent condition. It was more than excellent, it looked brand new, Chromebook, hardware , and box. The price was extraordinary low, 1/3 of the cost of today prices. She has had the Asus almost 2 months, no problems. She likes doing her homework on her Chromebook instead of the schools, her’s has more bells and whistles. I and she would recommend any open box purchase to anyone.

Great laptop for the price. I use this for work where I have multiple tabs open all day. It works well. The only issue I have had is that it will just shut down and restart during zoom meetings. This happens in meetings with more than 4 participants. I don't know the reason, but it has been inconvenient to say the least. Other than that, it is fast and does what it needs to do.

I would rairly reckomend a Chrombook to anyone but in this case it was for my grandmother-in-law and all she needs is to do some online banking and order things online. Nothing else. So for her this was a good perchas. The Chromebook itself (for what it is) is a great machine and was really easy to set up and get my grandmother-in-law up and running.

This is a fantastic Chromebook that does the deed of Google Drive, has a phenomenal screen for streaming 4K, and has the ability to have a surround sound feel towards what you watch. While it's not the biggest and best in terms of size, it does pack a knockout punch for expectations. I rarely use the touch-screen feature, but it feels like it is extremely precise with the location and where you touch. All in all, I would highly recommend this Chromebook if you're looking for more than a tablet but less than a true laptop/desktop computer.

Excellent laptop got it for a great price at Best Buy. Very fast And surprisingly easy to set up very impressed with this chrome book.

Love the fact that it flips into tablet and your capable of doing more things whether in computer format or tablet format.

Feels quite nice for the price. New i3 from Intel and the NVMe SSD are super fast. Nice upgrade from my previous chromebook of 6 years.

Great chrome book. I needed a chrome book for my kid and he loves it. Big screen easy to use. Good battery, what else could you ask for.

Works very well. Much faster than a windows computer and performs just as well for my needs. Great touch screen. Keyboard has a touch.
