This laptop was great until today. It won't turn on. It's only 3 weeks old. I will be returning it tomorrow.

I guess some people got luck with this machine, I didn't. I started having problems right from set up. It would freeze, be unresponsive. Browsing internet is like having a 56k modam all over again and worse. Will return.

This is the best computer ever for its price. Very nice

I bought this computer a year ago and I've had problems with it since day one. I got it for my grad school research so I only need word processing, some statistical analysis software, and web use - I'm not running any big heavy-hitter software. This laptop can't handle anything. It fails during Skype calls. It takes ten minutes to start UP - EVERY time. I took it to GeekSquad and they said it had a bad hard drive - factory warranty. Replaced the hard drive. Still complete garbage. I spent $1200 on this - still paying it off on a Best Buy credit card. VERY disappointed, and now I need to buy ANOTHER laptop that won't keep crashing - which I can't afford. Total lemon and stain on Asus' name.

I bought this computer to edit video and it took foreeeeeever to get it up and running. I didn't even bother with it. I bought a Mac Book Pro, and was up and running within the hour. With this computer, it took about 30 minutes just to start up for the first time, and about 2-4 hours to get up and running. Never again!

Everything seemed great about this laptop - the brand, the specs, and the price. The problem? It does not work. Don't ignore comments people post about it not functioning straight out of the box. Out of the box, the system operated at 98 to 100% disk utilization, meaning the system froze no matter what I did. If I was lucky I'd only get severe lagging. I researched the issue, and Microsoft says it is a known problem with Windows 10. I followed their troubleshooting steps, and it didn't work. I took it back and the customer service representative told me that he himself won't even use Windows 10. You've been warned.

I hate this computer. It is heavy (yes, I looked at the weight but thought it would be worth it vs the proclaimed benefits), the facial recognition never works, the matte black finish looks nasty unless you clean it constantly, and it is SLOW! It takes a long time to open screens when browsing the internet, which is the main use for this computer. I tried to book a flight on it and I while I was waiting for it to change screens I was able to log in and complete my flight purchase on my phone - the computer never did open the screen; it errored out twice. I should have stuck with the brands I know; I will likely return to Lenovo.

I have had this laptop for several years. No complaints, powerful and durable for my day to day usage.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this paperweight that looks like a computer. Took 6 hours to set up and update and then the dumb thing can't even surf the internet without having problems. Straight out of the box the thing should be able to surf. Hate it, Hate it, Hate it. Taking it back after only using for 1 hour. Couldn't even write this review on the new machine because it took 15 min just to pull up bestbuy.com. Absolute JUNK!!!!

Bought 2 for businesses and they have been reliable

I purchased and returned. The hard drive was bad. It kept freezing and couldn't fix itself. It kept trying to check the drives. Couldn't update windows 10 because of the hard drive not working. The battery also would not charge when plugged in.

Bought 2 days ago. So far it seem slow to boot up, touch screen response is slow, downloading is slow. Haven't troubled to load virus protection or Microsoft office until we decide if keeping. Computer is for my high school son getting read for college. He is very disappointed.

Do not buy from this company (Asus) if you expect your warranty to be taken seriously. I sent in my laptop over a month ago for minor water damage (covered by the warranty), and after multiple complications and ineffective communication from the company, I still do not have a laptop nor an estimated delivery date. I have had to call the company multiple times. Each time, they never meet the deadlines they set, and there are always more complications. At this point I think the warranty might end before I ever get a laptop back.

I wasted $900 on this piece of garbage. it keeps freezing and is VERY slow.. DO NOT BUY. Programs constantly crash. Does not play games well. Tried reinstalling windows and tried every fix there is. It's the hard drive. The hard drive is only 5400 RPM.. very weak.. I usually trust and recommend ASUS products, but this one is a fluke.

I have 8 other Asus 2 and 1 laptops. Love them they are the older models. This new version had no reviews and it seems to be stuck on windows version 14393. They will not update(bought 2), both keep freezing. Called Asus and they said it was the internet/wifi issues. I have 40 other computers on our network no issues. I tried two other networks and even did a hot spot on my phone. Both of this laptops still have issues. I even did a factory refresh on a one day old computer still same issues. I am going to buy a USB to Ethernet port and see if they will work.

I was excited to get this laptop since it seemed like a really good deal. Unfortunately despite great looking specs it runs very sluggishly and opening any program takes much longer than it should, I have a 5 year old desktop that is more responsive. Also within the first 4 days of owning it, logging in would only take me to a black screen. I had to run a chkdsk and then do a scan and repair. Will be returning and getting something more reliable.

Hinge broke, cracking the screen. I wouldn’t recommend it.
