All is well since I bought my new Asus laptop. It is user friendly and came with windows 10 installed. This is my second laptop, previous was an HP pavilion which I used for 7 years with no issues, very user friendly. I was reluctant to switch brands as hp was always a good working unit for me. I am a photo artist and the resolution is very good with Asus.

This computer runs very fast, color looks comfortable, screen is very large.

This is my first 2 in 1 and I am delighted. The display is great for old eyes like mine. Love the back light on the keyboard. It still has a disk drive built in which I find very helpful as I make many photo disks for older friends. The many positions it can be used in makes my decision to buy it more than justified. In fact we bought two, one for me and one for my wife!

Nice solid laptop with the performance of i7 processor. The large screen while using in tablet mode gave me a feeling of being special. Some people might get put off by the weight. I love it.

This is a great all around laptop for business and gaming.

1TB storage was a must and when I found this i7 priced as a i5 I had to try it. It is fast when multitasking and runs smooth. The flip screen is used mostly by my kids but they seem to have dropped their tablets for this unit. I would probably get a smaller screen on this since we use it on train to NY and can be bulky.

This laptop looks pretty good! It does smudge fairly easily, though. Expect to clean the screen and near everywhere else you touch (keyboard seems to be fairly immune) a lot if smudging bothers you. The backlit keyboard is sweet for use in the dark.. I can easily run medium-high level games and have even tried streaming high graphical FPS shooters from my Xbox 1 with fairly decent success! The 2-in-1 is a pretty cool function. The laptop might be a bit too heavy and large to use tablet mode comfortably but propping it up like a tent works like a charm. Among the only laptop of its class to still have a CD/DVD drive, which is nifty. True to their word, my hands and fingers are rarely ever warm. It comes pre-installed with Windows 10, which is what I wanted. It takes the best of both worlds from 7 and 8. It just feels good. Edge is too new to get behind, but Cortana can be super helpful. The start menu also makes its comeback but debuts in a new and great way. Its MAJOR downfall is its privacy policy. A) EVERY PRIVACY SETTING IS AUTOMATICALLY TURNED OFF. I can't stress that enough. You have to MANUALLY opt out- and even then you're still at the mercy of Microsoft's privacy policy. For shame. The only downside about the laptop itself so far is its battery life. I haven't tried and true tested it yet but the time remaining jumps around a LOT. It seems you can expect between 3 and a half hours to 4 and a half after unplugging. I'm sure there are ways to increase battery life but I wouldn't expect a lot of power without tinkering with it. (I imagine that a lot of itts power goes towards the backlit keyboard) As a home laptop and sometimes taking it to school (with outlets nearby) it suits my needs just fine. ALSO; NOTE. It says it comes with a free gift- the Trend Micro Security. You apparently have to add it to your bag. It will not be included pre-installed or in the box. There was no notification or instruction on how to acquire it. I bought this laptop when it was including Kaspersky and I had to go back "return" the transaction to let them ring it up again in order to get it. Only to find out that the Kaspersky gift advertised is not compatible with Windows 10. I'm guessing that's why it's now Trend Micro. Gonna have to go back and make the swap, again.
