Just wanted to share my opinion for this product. To start with only drawbacks are its bit heavy and when you;re used to MAC, it feels a lot. But to praise this item, i must say an excellent deal i got for this and it runs well so far. I am happy with this product

This is my second ASUS and first ASUS Laptop. I have to say ASUS make quality products. I was very happy with this purchase and I am sure it will last me a long while!

We had them install a solid state HD and it is an instant boot up with a quick response to command!

Runs really fast, for all of the features it has. I've played a few games on it too and the graphics are great w/o any lag time.

The first one was defective and we returned it. The second is fine. The only issue I have is the screen is a bit too touchy. Too many unexpected results, but so is my phone.

I bought this PC to replace an HP laptop. I chose this one for the 2GB video card and was disappointed for it as I found the graphics on the HP to be much brighter and easier to see. It doesn't do any good to have a nice picture if it's too dark. I'm always trying to brighten it. The HP was much better even thought it didn't have a video card. ANother issue is the keys. It seems like I'm spending too much time brigthenting or dimming the keys. Something about that they didn't get correct. The MOST disappointing thing about this PC is that after 3 months of use the DVD drive broke. I now have to find a back it up and set up a new PC so I can send this in for repair.. Expensive and low quality is not a good combination. Won't ever consider another ASUS. Decided to get on here an warn others to consider a different option.

I got my Asus laptop on a deal at best buy and i am happy i made that choice. This laptop is awesome.

This computer was pretty bad right out of the box. It ran ok but definietly not as well as it should've with the specs it has. Come to find out many important updates were failing to install. A couple weeks into using it and it's started to get even slower, and running more than one app was a joke. Which sucks because it wasn't very quick to begin with. I had geek squad look at it and it said that I had limited graphics ram, mean that video games would run slow; which is really fishy because it's supposed to come with a descent graphics card and plenty of other reviews have boasted its gaming capabilities. Then, they told me I was all set but then I checked my updates and saw that the updates had failed again. But that's another story for another reveiw

When I got this laptop I was very happy with the features and overall performance. But looked at very carefully for screen brightness compared with my 4 year old Sony Vaio laptop found Asus was very dim. I took to local best buy store to compare with another Asus laptop and verified the fault. Laptop was actually having issue with brightness same laptop version but new model was brighter than this one. So be careful and check brightness when you receive one of these. Thank you best buy for taking it back

Where to begin? Screen quality: Doesn't look HD at all. Even with the brightness turned all the way up, the screen is very dim. Mouse: The mouse is a disaster. It's one solid pad and trying to right click is extremely frustrating. Pad sensitivity (or lack thereof) makes it difficult to surf the web. Keyboard: It's backlit, but the design is horrible. Unless you are staring directly down at the keyboard, all you can see is the light coming from underneath the keyboard. Terrible design. Performance: This computer has an i7 processor yet it is extremely sluggish. Websites load slow, page navigation is clunky. Weight: This thing is ridiculously heavy. It's metal and feels durable, but for the price I would expect to not feel like I'm hauling around a bowling ball. Even the charger sucks! It's a giant block that prevents other items from being plugged into the socket. Sound: Speaker system is sub=standard. It comes with an attachable speaker, but I don't want to have to attach and detach the speaker whenever I want to move the laptop. I can't return this lemon fast enough. Good luck with this one Best Buy.

I love the touch screen, but I do not like that it is so slow. Next time I’ll stick to solid state.

I bought this computer a week ago and within days, I got the 'plugged in not charging' issue. Took it to Geek Squad who uninstalled some software. The fix lasted exactly one day before the issue popped up again. Best Buy gave me a replacement computer. I haven't even had the replacement computer 12 hours and already 'plugged in not charging.' Will take it back again tomorrow and see if Best Buy steps up to make this right.

I've had this product for about a week now and I need to use my webcam frequently. I noticed right away the webcam was really grainy and a little pixelated, enough that you look digitized. Not good when you are trying to run your own business and appear professional. It's not good, I tried adjusting every setting which is limited to basically no settings to adjust. For almost $1,000 and being in the year 2015 it is shocking how a camera can have such HORRIBLE quality.

Worked fine for about 5 months, then hard drive crashed. Lost everything i had put on it.Took it back and they sent it in to be repaired. Worked fine for another months, then got a virus that I couldn't fix myself. Paid to get it fixed. Then in another month, I got the same type of virus and had to pay again to get it fixed. They kept bragging how good MaCafee anti virus was and I told them if it was so good, I never should of gotten viruses all the time. The computer works fairly well, the anti virus software sucks!!

Bad product, even worse customer service. Been in for repair 5 times in 4 months. Currently at Asus repair center for the third time, no return date set..
