This is a surprisingly good router for the price range. Used mine for over two years and finally had to upgrade to a mesh network (although this model works with ASUS mesh technology that allows you to add this router to a mesh system) with tri-band technology. If you are looking for a sub $200 router that can handle speed and distance look no further. Set up is average and the web interface is also average (no app that I know of) but the workhouse performance made up for any of the less thrills and frills this router offers over some other routers. I also bought this router for a family member's network and they are also very pleased.

excellent wireless AC router - ASUS is great brand for nice wireless routers, with simple setup, nice UI, far range, and fast speeds - great throughput with multiple channels - antennas are awesome

I opted to try this to not only compliment my wrt3200 but also to replace my brothers Archer AC1200 and my own dated N600 as primary. Things were great until about 2 months in and connectivity issues happened. The stock ui is meh, but be very very very careful in what you upload (firmware) to this AC1900P ... the P that little letter there causes headaches I bricked the device several times (this was after the connectivity issues) i wanted to upgrade to merlin wrt to stop the issues. Anyway long story short i got a refurb version of this guy and its been doing okay for now.

It seems faster, but I still had problems at times keeping connected to my computer which is less than 40 feet away. I think I would buy this over the Netgear one that I had for several years.

had a vintage WRT54G router and replaced it with a ac1200 linksys router, but that wasn't much better, so I tried the Asus. it's been fantastically fast, offers security, a great guest network configuration, and looks great!

This thing beats any router I've had before. The range is amazing. I don't have to worry about going out on my porch and losing signal. Works fast as well. No negative things to say about it as of now!

I bought this router to replace one with a lesser bandwidth that was failing in its ability to effectively stream video on my laptop. The ASUS router has increased download times wireless internet speed. I do not have a streaming service like Netflix and I do not play online games. I have simple internet needs and this router is great for that. If you do stream a lot of video and play games that require fast streaming and a large bandwidth I recommend purchasing the ASUS router the next level up. Given the price of this router, I am satisfied.

This is one of the better routers that I've owned, and I've gone through about 3 routers. It's super easy to setup and very sleek. Covers all areas of my three bedroom apartment. Very good and reliable device.

I was previously having issues with my Samsung s7 connecting so my old wifi router...all my other devices connected but not my Samsung. This router has completely solved my problem. Also great range and speeds.

Lightning nailed previous cable modem & an existing ASUS router which was purchased to replace a D-Link that was unreliable. Only problem was trying to get an older HP printer to connect to the new router so ended up purchasing a new Brother printer that bonded right away. All other devices connected just fine.
