My main router is an Asus rt-ac86u and I already had an old original Asus rt-ac68u as an access point with different SSID wireless logins to my outbuilding with wired backhaul. I needed another access point in the upstairs of my house so the SSID logins would potentially become nightmarish. Decided to explore and try the Asus AiMesh system and get the rt-ac1900p (newer version of the old rt-ac68u) and create the AiMesh. It works fantastic and now I only have two SSIDs and the AiMesh seamlessly switches from one node to another without me having to do a thing. I am most pleased I was able to use my other hardware to create something so seamless.

I love this thing! Fixed all my wifi problems by switching to this product. My Xbox flies, all the devices in my house work so much smoother and both my laptop and desktop don't seem slow as molasses anymore.

If you want you need something that has really good wireless range and many of the consumer level advanced features with power for extra this one might be for you. I bough this for my mother's house and it covers both floors easily with a string 5Ghz signal and obviously the 2.4Ghz signal goes even further. I do wish that it supported the Smart Connect WiFi feature but that may not be what you are looking for anyway. This has fast wifi but not the absoute fastest standards. But most people don't need nearly as much wifi speed as they think. And this has a fast processor allowing for much faster internet speeds. So if you are not looking for the absolute top of the line (with the highest prices) nor to dive into the world of pfSense (PC Based) routers this is a very good choice. I personally wish with these dual core processors (and even quad core in other cases) would rewrite their NAT, Firewall, Proxy, and Traffic Shaping code to be correctly multi-threaded so one core isn't he bottle neck for internet speeds.

I previously owned an Asus router for about 4 years. I gave that to my parents and bought myself this one. Just as expected, still the best router I've ever owned. Would definitely recommend to anyone

This product was worth the money. I enjoy having two bands (2.4Ghz & 5Ghz) and I don't have dropped wireless in the house. I also believe I do not have dead spots in my large house because of its range.

Probably overkill considering we live in a rural environment & are not subject to the wifi problems faced by city dwellers. More than covers our 2400 sq. Ft. home. Completely satisfied one month in.

Talk about texting range, I could not believe how strong the signal strength was. Had to call my friends and show it to them. It's worth every penny

This is a great router. It serves all my computers, phones, ipad and everything else. I love it and it gives great service. I didn't realize how outdated my previous router was until I got this one.

Best WiFi router I’ve ever owed, works great in all ares of my large home without any problems. Even works out in my camper in the back yard. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

I decided to change my Modem/router from Comcast to my own. Best Buy staff were very informative on which to choose. And there was a great deal on both the router and modem. Very easy to set up.

Got this router for a gaming platform and it delivers with speed. Like some other reviews, i’vE had to reset the router every couple of weeks. Not an issue for me as I usually restart everything once a month anyway. Just a hassle when your in the middle of something.

This is a quality product with great range. I have 2 4K televisions, this provides great quality picture, 3 different guest accounts. Better buy for your money than the more expensive ASUS router. ;)

I was sick and tired of renting my modem from my cable provider. I purchased this router and modem. I had it set up in approximately 10 mins and sent my rented equipment back.

I bought this after my last router died and haven't regretted it. I did need an extender, but Asus makes a great extender, too. Both set up quickly and have been working beautifully. I recommend it.

We previously had issues with other products because of how our house is set up there was always a dead zone. We no longer have that issue with this product. It's been great.

I used 2 of these for 2 jobsite trailers. I have had zero issues with programming and the functionality of this router. Very easy to program. I recommend these for any home or small office solution.

I have not yet had any issues with this dual band router. It allows for two networks which allows for good distribution of bandwidth. The device is also very easy to setup and use.

I bought this router to integrate with my existing Asus mesh network. The router is strong but won't pair with the network. Working on other solutions. Good if alone, doesn't play well with others.

This router runs for months without ever needing reset, reaches all the places in my house it needs to, and handles all the traffic I need it to thanks to it's dual core processor!
