My old router was hacked and didn't perform well with all the users in the house. This Asus ( & support techs) are the best. All the bandwidth we want, no reduced signals, and feel very secure with their firewall. Will not buy any other brand ever ! Their dashboard looks confusing at first, but its a wealth of info to customize the router to your needs. Very useful.

This unit works much better than my old unit. I’m not really tech savvy and this was pretty simple to set up.

Still the best interface in the wifi world as far as full feature routers go. The built in firewall is a nice touch that many do not have or if they do you can't really control them, with the Asus interface the power is all yours. Also. the USB 3.0 is actually decent in speed, that was slightly unexpected, and I'm really happy about it.

This is the second of the same model. The first was working fine until I experimented with flashing it with different firmware to get added features. Something fell on my keyboard during the flash and I couldn't get back into it. Bought the second with plans to try to get the first working again and utilize it for an AP (two users in house). It also has a Dual WAN feature as a back up. And my modem has two network outputs . . . but all of the features and wifi speed are great for normal use.

I bought this as an upgrade from an ASUS RT-N66U, after trying the equivalent Linksys WRT-1900ACS and sending it back. The ASUS router has better coverage in both the 2.4 and 5 Ghz bands, as well as more features built into the router for 'fine tuning' its performance. This particular router is a Best Buy Exclusive upgrade to the RT-AC68U series, and is very well done!
