returned this, I am using this on the 1st floor of a 3 floor house and the coverage was not great inside the house.

Got this in palace of old dark Knight with Merlin. Place Merlin lastestand still had issues. Distance is not really further or stronger. 5g is a bit better but not much.

I love asus products but this router wasn't able to manage all the traffic from our 4k 4:4:4 60fps HDR video over ip system. Had to go with a commercial router.

I purchased this product and used it for 20 days. It worked well until one day it quit. Customer service on the phone had no idea how to fix it and took me through standard procedures to repair it with no success. I didn't buy them tended warranty from Best Buy and they wouldn't take it back after 15 days so it had to be shipped back to ASUS. They made me pay the shipping back to them and I have now been waiting for 30 days or the repair to be complete. After I called and went through 3 management levels it turns out they are going to ship a replacement. BUT their replacement is not new..... It is a store return that they "factory refreshed"... So after using this for a total of 20 days and waiting 30 for a repair, I get someone else's broke product...nits still not shipped though so I have no idea if it will work. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will NOT buy an ASUS product ever again and I suggest you don't either!!

I usually don't do reviews, but since I have not one, but two of these ASUS routers, I decided to write my experience with using this router. ASUS is know for some very good products, but this particular router seems to have WiFi connection drop outs intermittently, which can occur multiple times a day or once a day. I have been through several firmware updates and none has corrected this issue with both of my routers. I have used them in AIMesh and now in single router with 5Ghz media bridge and the issue of drop outs still occur. The units were sent to ASUS only to be returned to the next day with a firmware updated to latest version and "no problem found" on both units. After receiving te units back, they dropped out in the first 20 minutes of use and then again 4-5 hours later. All this AFTER receiving them back from ASUS service. During the period of these units being out for service, a Linksys EA-8300 & RE-9000 unit were installed and that duo performed solidly in Max-Stream "mesh" mode with tri-band. At this point, I would not try any more ASUS networking units based off my experience with two of these units and after ASUS's poor attempt at repairs under warranty with nothing done at all or even attempts to replicate the issue. IMO, stay away from this router, as I cannot recommend it.

Ever since we've gotten this router my cell phone is constantly dropping calls while on wi fi calling mode. Other than that it seems ok.

I was looking for something to extend my internet range. This was recommended by Best Buy staff, but it didn't help at all. I returned it

The set up on this device was easy but the daily use was just so-so I didn't think it was worth the money

This router is just OK. I think the new routers are just better. Range is some what short and the wireless speed is just adequate.

I though this was a stronger router than it really was. I wasn’t happy with the connections or the speed.

I bought this router two months ago, and at first it was great! After about two weeks, however, the wireless portion started randomly losing connectivity to the internet throughout the day. The wired portion would continue working when this happened. I tried to bring the device back into Best Buy, and they said I had to work with the manufacturer directly. The reason I bought this device in the store was so that I could return it to the store if I was dissatisfied or had any issues, but they are not able to process warranty issues for ASUS. I am disappointed with the router, and disappointed with the fact that I had to work with the manufacturer directly for a product I had owned for such a short amount of time.

Not much different from my old router. I thought I would gain speed and reliability but neither of those have happened.

It wouldnt reach throughout my house so i had to take it back. My only complaint was the range.

Installation was easy. I didn't get as much distance as I thought I would.

Bought it for 4K streaming and gaming, good if close but had poor range otherwise

Good product. A little to expensive though. Recommended if you buy it On sale.

I didn't see a difference in speed. Weird setup and could be better for the price.
