Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, I didn't think that this router would give reliable 5G coverage to the upstairs of our home and it does, unlike the NETGEAR R7000 it replaced. Setup is easy and I was able to get it going with just my iphone. I performed a firmware update which the device suggested but after that it would not work (no internet connection) but after a power cycle and waiting maybe 15 min, all was well and the speed of this blows the NETGEAR out of the water.... so happy!

So far it is working great with great speeds. Dual-band is really great to have where you have devices running on older wifi technology. I will update this post if I face any issues.

I use xbox one X, and tweaked the router for my liking and it was super simple. Zero ping to my server for speedtesting. 1GB up and down per my Internet service! For some reason in Chrome the 'Complete' button didn't show. Used FF and had no problem. I didn't like the idea that the Router was open until the setup was complete. After set up, I had no problem. This router actually replace another one (different brand) that I just took back.

I had bought a Netgear AC1750 wireless router and what a terrible experience with setting it up! The user interface was something to be ashamed of, it was a very time-consuming and frustrating experience. Then my printer which is hard-connected to my desktop (which is hard-connected to the router) would not work! I eventually had to uninstall and reinstall it. I took the Netgear back and purchased this ASUS router and there was NO comparison. Very quick and easy, much more detailed instructions, and it was all connected in a snap. My printer even worked immediately. For $50 more than I paid for the Netgear, it was well worth it, great work ASUS!!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used a TP-Link Arcer C7 v2 in my 2,000 sqft townhome for 2 years and had so many problems with the 2.4G band. About 8 smart home devices (nest, Alexa, echo dot, smart plugs, PS4) were connected to 2.4G and it created a very unreliable experience. I tried changing channels, channel widths, upgrading firmware- nothing could fix the instability of that router. Upgraded to Asus RT-AC1900P and it made a huge difference. Typically 8 things are connected to 2.4G and there’s still plenty of bandwidth left (~60 mbps from 5”, ~25mbps from 20” through walls and a floor). Now that things work really well I’m going to drop crappy Spectrum cable and pay for YouTube TV since my LG TV connects to the 5G band (4K on YouTube app plays instantly). This is worth the money if you’re willing to be deliberate with your home entertainment setup and decisions. I cannot stress enough how much better it is than the Archer C7 v2 AC1750. I hope this was helpful.

Has all the features you can want and great range. I have a 2 story 2300 sq ft house and I have all my bars through out the house. Would highly recommend.

I also love the feature of my own cloud for accessing my files anywhere. User interface is pretty intuitive as well. I should not have waited.
