Best Buy was great, but this product, the ASUS 3100AC router was not. I spent five days trying to get more than 50mbps wifi on my laptop with this router. It used to get 95mbps from my 100mbps ISP with my old Linksys N300 router. ASUS tech support was terrible. Nothing I tried or they told me to try made any difference. Finally returned it and bought a Linksys WRT3200ACM at Best Buy and plug and play was back to 95mbps. Best Buy store pickup and return works better than any other store I know.

IT is at the range 5 but ar 2.4 ia not good range as 5G

I purchased this router based on product reviews and web searches looking for a good router for gaming, and the fact that my Netgear R8000 was a couple years old and we were having problems with internet service in our home. Not sure if it was the provider, or the router. Bought this one to help with the troubleshooting as I didn't have a means to borrow one, and thought it's time was up. Had it hooked up for a day or two and was making adjustments in the settings. I changed something in the 5 GHz WiFi band and the band went dead. The 2.4 GHz band was fine, and so was the direct line. I couldn't get the band to come back on regardless of what I did. Reboots, updating firmware, changing to third-party firmware, restoring it to previous settings...nothing worked. So I took it back and exchanged it for another one, which I will review separately...

I purchased this based on the solid reviews. I wanted something with a long range. It worked well for everyday uses. However, it was the most frustrating router I've ever owned when it came to printing. It constantly dropped our printers- whether our main Canon printer or from our iPhones. I even purchased a new Canon and had the same issues. I had to reconnect our printer to this router almost every single time before printing. I always made sure the firmware was up to date. I finally couldn't take it anymore and purchased a different brand router and haven't had a single issue with printing since.

First thing I noticed was the “connection failed” message trying to reach the router configuration panels, from the app or any browser, which was temporarily solved by normal restarts. This was happening almost everyday so I decided to follow the recommendation of doing a hard reset. The hard reset made things worse, the router started having all kind of problems with the wifi signals with both 2G and 5G. I verified it had the latest firmware, then started experimenting with things like disabling the 5G band, trying a couple of extra hard resets, etc. I have been always a big fan of Asus and proud owner of an old but still flawless RT-N66R, but sadly I had to return this AC3100. Got something else in exchange.

I researched this before I bought it but Best Buy service was knowledgable and helpful.

This product was easy to set up And great for beginners .

My Mbps more than doubled from my cable company provided router.

Have my gaming and tv on one band and smart home on another. Works well.

The Ac 300 dual band Wi Fi router beat all previous routers I ever owned.

Works great, nice being able to put different devices on different bands.

Don't ever think I will need a new router ever again - amazing power and reception.
