my other routers don't stream movies well. This handles it flawlessly.

I bought this for a small office and it works great.

I purchased this to replace an existing ASUS router. It was a lemon. I wasted much time trying to set up. Did firmware updates, reset the router twice and called ASUS technical folks. After 90 minutes on the phone with them, the only conclusion was to do what I was already doing. That failed. I could not set up the guest network and certain devices would not connect to the regular network. Certain radio buttons in the admin firmware would not work. So I returned it. I am happy with the Orbi AC3000 I purchased instead.

Very good router for a large family with numerous devices.

Unfortunately the guest network does not work and Asus support is unable to fix the problem, otherwise a good router.

I was excited to upgrade my old netgear router, despite reading some negative reviews on this router. I figured because of the price it was a quality product. It worked well for about a month. The 2.4ghz band stopped transmitting, none of my devices were able to see it. After updating the firmware to the latest, which I was prompted to do from the admin dashboard, it started working. 24 hours later, it was no longer working. After 3 updates, it still did not work. If I changed the SSID it would work, or if I downgraded/upgraded the firmware; the cycle would repeat. I was unwilling to go third party firmware because it was new, and with the price, valued my warranty. After calling customer service, they asked me to RMA the product. But, they offer no exchange service. Being outside my return window, I was stuck. I work from home, so not having wifi is a huge issue. Customer service won't pay for shipping, and you have no box to ship it in. It doesn't even come with a static bag for protection. They also won't return your factory box. Asus troubleshooting was non-existent. The techs are lost in the weeds. I spoke with 3 and a manager before they finally sent me a prepaid label. Here we are 3 weeks later, and they put the wrong return address. Back on hold I go! Save your time, and money. Buy a Netgear. Don't let companies who aren't willing to provide a solid customer experience prosper. My 4 year old netgear works to this day, never had an issue. Silly me for wanting to upgrade.

This router does not work very well. I used it for about 6-8 months without realizing that my bandwidth was limited by this router. I have a 250 Mbps conneciton, but I never got more than 120Mbps, when using this. Also, sometimes it will just randomly reset. There was also an issue that even though the product publicized 2.4 GHz and 5GHz channel, the 2.4 GHz channel stopped working after 2 months..... I replaced it by a mesh router which gives me about 300 Mbps bandwidth everywhere in my home. Unfortunately, I realized the router being bad late and cannot return it.....

It works great! I would recommend it for everyone.
