In less than a month the router quit working, now I have to send it back to Asus for repair, wasting more money (good thing my old router still worked). Terrible support rather useless, required internet connection to configure but would not connect to the internet. Never buy one of their products again. Worst yet, I researched this product before buying it and it was rated highly by reviewers. Guess they never used it more than a day.

Router would constantly reboot and turn off, was not reliable at all!! However ASUS does have the best interface in my opinion from all router just not the best routers unfortunately. I would stay clear of this one unless you purchase an extended warranty because you will need one!!!

Router works well and the range/speed is very good. Setup was simple enough and I have other more detailed uses for the router if the need arises. I wish it wasn't this much money but good quality isn't cheap. We'll see how well the unit holds up in time.

Set up was easy and worked fine. then 3 days later, the 5G went out, after I had my security system set up on that band. Fooled around for a day and 1/2, call Asus and they said it was a hardware problem and to take it back. so I did.

This is a crap router! The setup was ridiculous let only you forget your password, good luck resetting everything!! After only one week with this router kept giving out. I consistently had to reset this router to get my wifi working. After reading reviews on the actual asus website a lot of these routers have issues. Don't waste your time or money!!

I spent 2 days on the phone with call center in India barely understanding their accent but doing all they asked me to do. Finally got the router to put through a signal from the USB modem and it quit working after just a few minutes. Hoping to be able to do a return but not sure as I’m traveling and have not had the opportunity to get to a Best Buy location

WiFi stopped working and now it's just collecting dust while I'm using an older router I have...
I replaced it with another model of the same type and had the exact same issue.
Googling ways to fix it showed me that there wasn't a way to fix it and other people had the exact same problem.

I'm a very skeptical shopper and typically do a lot of research before making a purchase. I bought this router as my old one went kaputz. All I can say is that it works flawlessly right out of the box. I updated the firmware and everything connected perfectly after that. Speed and range is great! I will come back in a few months with a follow-up.

Liked it until it broke. Died after I got it home. Check the forums , oops should hav3 taken a closer look before buying. The manufacturer acknowledged the issue tried to get me to RMA.

Asus is a real disappointment I'm very sorry to say. The router stopped working on me within a week of purchase. I returned it for the exact same model and THAT one also broke within a week :( I purchased a Netgear ultimately and have been very satisfied. Hopefully Asus will take note and make improvements for future models.

I bought this in May 2016, it worked great for a couple months then simply stopped working. ASUS repaired it under warranty and returned it to me a month later. The repaired router has now died again. So twice in less than 14 months I have a dead router. I'll never buy another ASUS product again.

Do not buy! This router is designed with poor hardware and is prone to the ethernet ports breaking. In my case, the WAN port stopped working and Asus refused to repair issue under warranty. During the process I experienced awful customer service. AVOID at all costs!
