    For some reason, this Wi-Fi Router kept disconnecting and reconnecting to my smart devices. It had a mind of its own. I had to send this product back!

    Kept crashing under heavy loads. Speeds were slow and range was terrible. Asus support is so hard to get a hold of by phone. I returned it.

    stay away from, nothing but issues since we bought it, rma it once and still gave me issues, now just sits in a box unused, waste of money.

    Don't buy. Random dropping connections. Have to reset constantly. Replaced with Linksys WRT3200ACM. Cheaper and it works fantastic.

    This is a great router! The only issue I had was with the firmware. After I updated it manually by downloading it from the website which was very easy, it ran flawlessly. The rang is amazing!! I had the apple AC router before this and let me say this blows it out of the water in range, performance, and features. Also I don't think there is a better gaming router out there.

    Never could get the router to pull up the admin / configuration app. Tried multiple times including reseting to factory defaults. Gave up and returned the item.

    This router have a poor signal (weak). The WiFi signal shutdown momentarily an disconnect simultaneously.

      or the best wireless signal transmission between the wireless router and the network devices connected to it, ensure that you:
      1. Place the wireless router in a centralized area for a maximum wireless coverage for the network devices.
      2. Keep the device away from metal obstructions and away from direct sunlight.
      3. Keep the device away from 0 .11g or 0MHz only Wi- Fi devices, . GHz computer peripherals, Bluetooth devices, cordless phones, transformers, heavy-duty motors, fluorescent lights, microwave ovens, refrigerators, and other industrial equipment to prevent signal interference or loss.
      4. Adjust the antennas on the router. Try adjusting the antennas to achieve the best performance of your 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks.
      5. You can change the Channel bandwidth and Control Channel to boost the frequency of each band of 2.4 GHz to 20 MHz and control channel of 1, 6 or 11. For 5GHz Channel Bandwidth, please select 60MHz or 80MHz then control channel, please select 161 or 165 and hit Apply. Try each of the channels first and observe for at least a day if there is an improvement on your connections with that channel. You can also do the speed test for each, try and observe all of the channels first until you get the best connection for your location.

    The WiFi this thing puts off is terrible. It didn’t even cover my entire apartment. The user interface is confusing.

    Excellent range and signal!

    Was deciding between this or the Linksys EA8500 and decided to go with this one because 1) the looks and 2) my PC has several components from ASUS - so I decided what the heck, let me give it a shot. And well dang, I'm sure glad I did. The range is exceptional! My brother in law's bedroom is in the upper corner furthest away from the router/modem and he used to get poor to fair signal strength with our old router - now with this one, he's getting fair to excellent signal strength AND speed, even when people are over and are watching youtube, netflix, etc. Definite MUST-BUY if you stream and game a lot - and also if you've got the change to spare.
