Poor range and slow speed

I bought this router as an upgrade so I could better stream HD content. However, the ASUS router buffers occasionally and is limited in range. This doesn't support their product claims. ASUS product support is horrible! I've spent hours on the phone with them and they can't seem to give me an update on my case. This has been going on for 25-days. I recommend trying Netgear first before buying any ASUS product.

I bought this exactly 1 year and 1 month ago and now that it is out of warranty manufactures give me crap and wants me to pay for shipping both way to get the product RMA even though they have a 2 year wararnty. They might as well say tough luck if your item breaks. Went with different router not even going to bother with RMA.

Great router for 2 years then stopped working.

Had router for 2 and half years. Then all of a sudden connection was horrible and stopped. I spent 2 weeks going back with support which was the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Since it’s 5 months out of warranty it’s 35$ just to send in plus service. Never will buy an ASUS router again.

I've had this router for 30 days, and when it stopped working today I assumed Best Buy would replace it. Nope, they stuck to their ridiculous 15 day return policy and suggested next time I purchase the extended service. I'm never buying electronics at Best Buy again.

Had for 2 weeks, constant problem with wifi and lan. For the price it should be amazing out of the box and my old one from 3 years ago works leaps and bounds better, very disappointed in this one. Range is nowhere near what it claims. Don't recommend this what so ever.

I purchased this router yesterday and am sad to report that it was dead on arrival. I have tried everything to reset the router but it is simply broken. Cannot access the router control panel, and absolutely no internet access. I will be returning it today and going with a different model.

2.4 GHZ Wifi and AIMesh failed

My unit died after about two years in service. I have other ASUS routers, one newer I was using AiMesh to to cover two floor home. And an older one that did not support AiMesh. Both are working together in a convential mode.

The router lasted less than a month. Stopped working and had to be rebooted multiple times a day. The asus app is horrible. I'm not impressed. I bought a netgear router and I am very happy now. It's faster and reliable

If you need 2.4 ghz this router not only drops them after a time like some have said but mine finds them all and drops them in under 2 minutes. End of being able to use a new wifi printer.

Keeps dropping off line. Can't log back on without hard reset. Too unreliable, going to get the linksys. Other devices and old outdated Apple router work fine on same network.
