I bought this because the Wi-Fi in my old Motorola SURFboard was going out. I find that the speeds and coverage are good. This thing is a bit expensive and could stand to be a bit cheaper but overall I'm happy

Purchased this after returning a router of another brand that was difficult to set up. The set up here was very easy and the strength and consistency of the signal is good throughout our home.

Upgraded this from a netgear 6x Nighthawk 3200 AC and I am glad I did. 5Ghz signal is really good on this device which makes it good for gaming and streaming. The range of the signal is not perfect but with a extender it works great. Very easy manual to follow, my favorite router to set up. Better product than Netgear. I used Netgear for years and they never worked as good as this router. Ps. if you buy an extender, buy Asus brand. This router will pick up an universal extender but it won't let you use the asus extender app if it not asus. I think at least, us i couldn't do it with my netgear extender.

Great range and a strong signal. Like most modern homes we have many wireless devices and many of them connected at the same time. The AC3100 is handling our needs without a hickup. is handling our need

I know enough about routers/modems to get myself into all kinds of trouble. Mind you, the last time i bought a router/modem was 8 years ago. I blocked off a half a day to install the router, but it only took about an hour to install & the instructions were easy to follow. Hardest part was calling my ISP to allow the modem i purchased to connect to their network. All the control/options the router gives you is perfect. With teens with gaming systems, i can schedule to turn off their access to the internet individually on any device that connects to the router! No more fighting with them-it just shuts off to their gaming systems at whatever time i set up, but keeps other devices connected. I can pick & choose. Very user friendly, especially for a novice like me.

I switched from my cable providers wifi to the Asus....wow, what a difference. It's range is great and the speed is off the chart. I'm actually getting the upload and download speeds that my cable provider advertises.

I bought this router with the high hopes for it's gaming promises. WTFast advertises well, and it seems like a solid platform, however I feel there is some misconceptions to their advertising. One, it is a service you have to pay for. Two, it is not something that you just hop on your device and use to play. There is a quite extensive routine you have to go through to connect to this service and use. As far as performance goes, I got better signal strength and performance out of my old Linksys Maxstream AC1900 that was on its last leg than I did from this new router.

We've only had the router about a month, but so far we like it. It was easy to set up. Has lots of maneuverability for different configurations. Great signal strength. Appears to handle many devices seamlessly.

We replaced Apple’s Airport Extreme with ASUS AC3100 Dual band WiFi Router. It was easy to install. Basic features work for all, some advanced features don’t work for Apple OS. It has 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, or you can have one SSID and it selects the band for you. You can also set up a guest WiFi for your guests. You can use DHCP for some devices and fix the IP numbers for some devices. You can attach shared printers and hard disks for saving backups. All in all, I have had this for a month with no hiccups, and hope it lasts for next 10 years, which is how long I used my Apple AirPort Extreme router.

I love this router. It's easy to use and is quite fast with over 30 devices connected . Haven't experienced any dead zones. If you are looking for a mid tier router , then this is a very good option.

    Wireless Printer Setup MAJOR PAIN

Been running the AC3100's brother (AC3200 tri-band) over a year and it was mostly solid. Setup was painless on the AC3100 EXCEPT for wireless printer. During the 6 or so hours it took to FINALLY get the Dell wireless laser printer to work wirelessly I considered returning this AC3100 router many times. I didn't have any issues with the AC3200 playing nice with this printer. Other than the printer the AC3100 is in line with the AC3200 and unlike so many positive reviews on the AC3100 I'm not seeing a notable gain in coverage. Both routers are good with 250/25 down/up service from my isp. You cannot go wrong with either, unless you have similar problems with setting up your wireless printer. If it wasn't for the printer setup issues I'd rate this router 5 stars but it's only getting 3 due it being a royal pain.
