The dual-channel Asus AC3100 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router does a very good job in my fairly large (about 2500 sq ft)home. It was easy to set up and produces a strong WIFI signal throughout my home. It selects the strongest 2.4GHZ channel, and sometimes chooses a 5 GHZ channel, but so far the 2.4 signal works best. With a lot of neighbor WIFI activity, my WIFI is about 20 Mb/s, good enough for most activities, and I do not do on-line gaming.

I did struggle initially with setup but was able to call for technical support and get the setting corrected so it would work. It was more difficult for me because I have an older laptop that has its own issues which I needed to use to change a setting. Once it worked, we get good internet throughout the house and even in our yard by our pool.

This router replaced a two year old router that bricked after an update. Never before could I be glad about that. My previous router ALWAYS had trouble connecting with my laptop on the 5GHz channel in 802.11ac. Dropped connections galore. Wouldn't connect after wake up. This router solved all those issues. NO more problems. It just works. It was easy to setup. The web setup had me up and running in less than 10 minutes. So glad my old router died. It was a little pricey but in the end worth it.

This is a fantastic router that covers my largish house. I typically have 30 plus or minus devices on my network 10 or so via wifi and the rest via ethernet via switches and what not... It handles everything very well. I have TWC 250 internet. There are other versions of this router on different sites that offer more ethernet ports but since I wanted the points, I bought here. my wife works from home so I needed a powerful router... it seems to be worth the money.

Worked great as an AP configuration. It was rather difficult to setup as a router. Ended up sticking with the original router and setting it up as an AP to extend the wireless network. Working great.

For anyone who has a network with multiple devices that require fast wifi speeds to work optimally, this is an excellent router. It is pretty pricey, but I figured I'd try it out and could always return it if need be. I have many devices connected that I use to stream video or play video games online. Recently purchased a newer modem to pair with this and the speed increase are drastic across the board on all consoles, TV's, everything. Expensive and large, but a beast of a router.

We've been using this router for 1,5 years now - works great for gaming, work and streaming with almost 100 devices connected. Takes a while to boot up. Keep in mind that there is a WiFi button on the router itself, which if pressed accidentally by your cat, child or dog disables the WiFi. The settings are intuitive if you have some computer skills and understanding.

Nice piece of equipment, though I had challenges getting it connected. Ended up contacting geek squad to come out and complete connection, great folks very helpful, but it still didn't get connected. This was going to be my primary router; ISP said no log in info required, yet when trying to set it up everything kept calling for log in... ISP ended up providing new router. If I needed to extend this is what I would by to piggyback on the primary router

I like this wifi router much better than the Linksys I originally purchased. This one will function as a WAP or router. I've had no problems with it. I liked it so much that I purchased one for my church too.

Setup was easy, signal strength is better than my old router. Updated firmware on day 1. After 3 days it stopped working (had wifi, no wan), needed a reboot. Started needing daily reboots. Almost returned it, but tried Asus Merlin 3rd party firmware as last resort, hasn't acted up since. Running fine for weeks without a reboot. Heard this was a common problem.

Before this router we continually dealt with dropped WiFi signals and it was frustrating. Now we have an excellent signal for every device in the house including those behind closed doors.

I replaced an older router and find this has 2-3 times the range and an increase in speed. Glad I made the switch.
