Excellent router for improving signal strength
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Based on several reviews that I read, the ASUS RT-AC3100 router is considered to be one of the best routers for improving signal strength in large homes. I measured the signal strength in the farthest locations in my home prior to and after I installed the router and I noted a significant improvement in signal strength. I am also no longer experiencing dropped Wi-Fi calls in my house.

I live in a old house, thick walls, this new system has no issue with signal! I can even go outside and it doesn’t drop the signal. I was paying a cable company for their whole house router per month. What a joke. Glad I bought this!

Powerful router but complex!

I had set mine up for my home office and it’s great. But some of my equipment continues to drop and it’s been a challenge to keep my printers online!

Not as smooth as the 1900 it replaced

This new 3100 is quick usually but we experience too much lagging and sometimes loss of wifi connectivity and have to restart the router. Not sure if it's a bad egg or the latest firmware.

The only thing I wish is it to have a 8 port instead of 4 port switch but that's not a deal breaker. The configuration interface is easy to understand and setup was a breeze.

The Advance gaming ROUTER!

It has so many features that I am still learning. And I have a background in government network infrastructure. But this allows me to control my entire network and attach additional USB drives. Plus the app control is just awesome. I wish I had invested in a device like this years ago. I would die and buy this again.
