This router is way overkill for my small home. I got it because I was just not able to get the speed I wanted in my back office. Somehow the signal was just not making it with my last router. With this one I get much better speed but it took a lot of tweeking and still get only about 85% of what my provider is sending out.

We were having several wireless connection issues within our household. Once we purchased and installed this unit we have not had one issue.

I purchased this router to replace a much older one. This one exceeds my expectations. I am a gamer so this router is perfect for what I do.

I had way too many devices on my network for the router I was previously using but this asus handles the workload and then some beautifully.

I had high expectations for this router. I bought it to replace my nighthawk, and boy was I mistaken. Randomly drops wireless networks, and when you hit the power button to reboot it?? You play a on/off game to get the thing to power back on. 98% of the time it just sits there after you power it off. Then you have to disconnect everything power it off for at least a minute then power it back on, and hope it boots. It has been a constant struggle. The web interface is glitchy at best. Often you type in the address and get an error saying the address has changed. But it hasn’t changed! So you get to play more games of trying to get to the log in screen to update settings. The phone app is awesome. It allows you to change things via your phone rather than the web address on a PC. Though at times that fails to give you the options you were looking to change. I wish I hadn’t bought this product, though I’ve touched it out for awhile hoping that a firmware update would fix the problem. Again, still disappointed, and still waiting for a real fix. Calling customer support is a joke. They always try to tell you it isn’t their product, but when I plug in my nighthawk, it works flawlessly. They don’t stand behind their product. Any other manufacture would’ve sent out a replacement by now. ASUS should’ve stuck to making amazing motherboards, and skipped the other products because I e been buying ASUS for well over a decade. This router is horrible. When it is up and running it is amazing. I do notice a slight whine/hissing sound whenever it’s on, but I swear I have the hearing of a bat or something. I can tell across a room if it is powered on or not. I do not recommend this product at all. Steer clear!

This is a great router for a house full of heavy internet users. We currently have 6 people in the house and we're constantly on with multiple devices each. This router has handled all of the traffic without a hiccup. The only feature I would like to see is being able to schedule reboots as our router still needs restarted about every couple of weeks.

Work straight out of the box. Great distance and reliability.

This routers been running for two years no problems. I would consider or home a heavy usage environment. Over 20 wireless iphones/ps’s & FireStick/xboxes. on the network with no problems. Also provides service to my garage which is considerably detached.

This is an excellent router for power users and its output power is really impressive, the wifi signal gets to every part of the house.

I purchased this Asus Wifi router to replace $299 netgear wifi junk because netgear's parental, time controls did not work. I am very surprised the setup and configuration was more easier and straightforward. The parental and time control work great and way better than netgear. Thank you for the associate who recommend this item.

Keeps up with 2 online PS's streaming games in the MMORPG world, and several Netflix devices all running. Would recommend.
