The Asus - AC3100 Router is one of the best WIFI routers on the market. Set up and Installation are a breeze and it provides the bandwidth needed for Wi-Fi devices within the average size home

This router is the same exact thing as the Asus ac88u, which is the router I originally wanted, but after looking up the specs and features this does everything the same, it also supports wtfast for gaming, but it's a subscription based option I used the trial which actually does improve ping and provide a better gaming experience, there is also an app for your phone to set up and use adjust basic function and features of the router but also you can go in through the web browser and adjust everything there as well, definitely worth every penny, when I upgrade to a more powerful router I can also use it to make a mesh system like other network systems like the Google mesh routers

Seems to have awesome range and Few crashes if any . Runs 4 kids laptops together with a few other things in the back ground good choice

This ASUS router replaced a Linksys that was several years old that had started dropping connections and required a monthly-ish reboot. The ASUS is providing much faster connections throughout the house -- especially the most distant areas, where connection speeds have improved 10-11x. This router has been in place for a few months now with zero issues or connection losses (or reboots). Initial installation was easy using one computer wired to a LAN port. Moving the wireless computers over was also easy either by typing in the new passphrase or using the WPS button.

This router is a beast and I couldn't be happier with it

I had to disable the smart connect function because devices that were right at the edge of the 5ghz band kept loosing signal. Once they were separated I could connect to the 2.4 and keep a solid signal. I have 400 meg internet and get 200+ download speeds on wireless devices. I have a 2000 sq ft home with a basement and do not need any additional boosters or access points in the house. We use ROKU devices on all out TVs and can stream 4k content with no issues. There are typically 18 devices connected to this in our home with no issues.

Purchased this wifi router when ours had reached its limit. We have no buffering! It runs 2 computers, a laptop, multiple gaming systems, tablets, phones and roku with ease! Great product!

Product works well. All of our components use wireless and processing time sometimes seems a bit slower than the last brand we had. Supposed to be good for gaming and the kids never complain.

I love the features this router has. I have noticed speed increase across the board with all devices. Works great with video game consoles and the multiple channels make sure there is enough speed to go around.

Have had this router nearing two years now. Great router. No issues. Looking forward to add mesh for the outside pool area this summer.

I use this router with Xfinity Gig internet and it has significantly improved my WiFi in my home. I stream on 5 TV's simultaneously and it supports multiple devices in my Smart Home. Love it!!

We use to have trouble with connecting to the Internet in certain places in our home due to weak signal with our old router. That is NOT the problem anymore! My children never complain about lost connection.

I’m so used to weak routers that I was pleasantly surprised to find one with such a strong signal everywhere in the house. It’s got me enjoying my favorite Netflix shows again!

Asus leads the way with big box store routers. Don’t come loaded with all user self install crap. Will still let you set it up without an app or internet.

The price is a little high for this item but it works well. I am afraid to update the firmware since more issues can appear after the update. As of right now the coverage is good and no issues yet.

If you are looking for a commercial grade feature rich router, then this is the router for you. This router has enough power to cover my entire property with excellent WiFI signal strength. I have not had any connection problems since its installation. I have also been able to eliminate some of my WiFI boosters around my house. Suggestion: Before you go through the complete setup I would recommend updating the firmware and doing a full reset (Press the reset button for 30 seconds). The firmware update changes the admin username and password so you will be unable to access the router administrator interface until you reset, which will remove all your settings, so save some time and do the upgrade first.

router did all I needed with improved range. software interface a little hard to figure in places but I didn't seek help. would have rated five stars, but have questions about usb 3.0 port !

I purchased this router to replace an older Asus router. I settled on the AC3100 because it met all my needs and it will and be fine for years to come.

I recently upgraded my old router to this based off a friend's review. I fell in love with this router the moment I plugged it in. Easy to assemble and set up and now my wifi is much more stable.
