I purchased this router to replace an older Asus router. I settled on the AC3100 because it met all my needs and it will and be fine for years to come.

Had the router for a month now, was easy to setup, works well, wireless coverage throughout the house is definitely much better, no issues so far. Will update if anything negative is experienced.

Bought to replace 5 year old router that was starting to show its age - not working all the time. Pretty expensive and works very well.

The Asus Extreme Wifi Router is much faster than the touter provided by Centurylink. It also has expanded the area that my family can receive adequate signal in our two story home.

The old router was slow and couldn’t handle all the phones, iPads, computers and TVs in the house. This router has no problems and is an excellent buy.

I love the interface and features. Tried a few other brands but ASUS knows what they are doing. Quick updates also. Got to do the updates.

Switched from net gear nighthawk x6s due to non solvable issues with the dns. The ASUS has exceeded expectations and also offers more features than the nether nighthawk

Setup could be easier. It works as advertised and is great for gaming. Like I said though, it could be easier to setup. Downside is you can only put one ISP in the DMZ.

The main reason I bought this router is because I want to skip modem/router(Fiber Internet FTTH) provided by the ISP. And this router does both PPPOE and VLAN Tagging. The other reason I decided to go with this one is because other brand router that does what I need it to do does not have good reviews on their stability.
Having this router for few months now, I think it is pretty stable. I only restarted it once because my thermostat is dropping from it, and the thermostat is the only device that is dropping for some reason. I restarted the thermostat, and it did not fix the problem, and restarting the router fixed it.

Only been about a couple of weeks though. Hopefully it stays legit.

I got this for an exchange on a Netgear ORBI system that just did not work. This is a very powerful system with lots of options---some limited documentation. Going to try and use it with the AI Mesh setup. You can set up on the guest network side 3 2.4 and 3 5ghz networks in addition to the internal 2.4 and 5ghz--which gives you a lot of wireless networks. RIght now having issues being able to connect to them all. ASAU does a good job releasing firmware updates plus there are other options to change the firmware. The virus scan/intrusion system is quite nice.

I have a fairly large home and this unit reaches from an IT room on one side all the way to the other side. Roughly the distance is 130ft and it still pushes through multiple walls.
