Customer Ratings & Reviews

not cheap, fancy package; works better than any other router I ever had (d-link & linksys in the 140$ ranges); easy setup; will see how long it will last;

Upgraded from an old ASUS N66 I had been enjoying...noticeably faster and smoother operation especially with my videos. Great choice!

Finally able to use the full potential of my internet. It's fast as can be and I can add a mesh later if needed. Great router.

This router has lived up to all positive notes that I read online before making this purchase. My only complaint is the price but you get what you pay for.

"The router you are using is not an ASUS device or has not been authorized by ASUS. 279.00 for no internet. Reset to factory settings: works for about another 5 minutes. Rinse and repeat...

my house seems tough on routers. This one has worked well in the several months I have had it. So no complaints is a good thing.

Handles streaming/gaming well, super easy to set up/manage. Range in larger homes with a lot of walls may make a Wi-Fi extender necessary.

Router easy to install. Have had to reboot couple times but not sure if it's internet or router problem.

About a year in and this router is still holding up strong! Very fast WiFi speeds and no major hiccups. Range is excellent! Couldn't be happier.

This product works great with our 2 story house. It helped improve our internet speeds. I highly recommend it.

Easy set up and has great range. Entire house 3600 sq ft. Runs 3 TV fine and extends out to the back yard.

I had some 5G stability issues with my old AC87U and bought this AC3100 to replace it. It has been working nicely ever since. Stable connection and fast.

Let me begin by saying I read all of the reviews for this unit prior to purchasing it. It came highly recommended and was well rated. I've been in tech for decades and the D-Link enterprise class wireless I had been using was starting to show it's age, so I purchased this as a replacement. Update the firmware on this unit immediately. Do this before you configure it, because there is a good possibility that you'll have to do a factory reset after it's completed and you'll have to re-enter your config afterwards. My first attempt to use this was met with a bit of disappointment, as the wireless connections seemed very slow and unstable compared to my previous wireless unit (it's configured as a wireless AP and not a router). It was configured to use both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands together using the same credentials and such. I'm not certain if that contributed to the problems or not, but after the firmware update, I set it back up and segregated the two bands on their own SSID's. This appears to have helped, because my connections are a lot better and definitely more solid now. I can't speak for the router side of the device as I use a different solution, but I'm only giving it three stars based on my initial experiences. It's only been a couple of months so far, so I may increase the rating after it's been in service a while and proved itself in daily usage.

This unit is fast! We have it hooked up to the fiber optic modem that is delivering 48mps but this one is amplifying that and delivering between 68-72!!!

purchased this router as my last one/5 yrs old died, this is an excellent router for working from home and the rest of the household. thank you

Great to set up, Tried many routes, Including tribands, many dropped connection to new 4 K tv, Asus was much better, I have many devices and Kids with friend using multiple phones, computers and streaming devices. The Asus kept up to all the devices the best so far. My kids no longer use so much data on our cellphone plan as they used to be dropped from previous router. Recently a month later I've had to re-enter my passwords to my Sony DVD players as no longer connects to router . I yet need to play with others functions.

Awesome for gaming.Works well for streaming as well.Haven’t had a problem with mine yet.Easy & simple setup too.

This router lives up to all expectations. It easy to set up and with sufficient power to cover a 3500 square foot.

Originally bought for my 100mbs but since it performed so well throughout the house I updated my internet to 300 and it is amazing

I use this router with cameras it works great . With the multi Chanel's the cameras respond in record speed
