This router allows you to control everything and the range is phenomenal. We ditched Verizon FIOS specifically so that we could use this Router.

Very fast and easy setup. My last asus router lasted 6 years and this one has replaced it admirably.

I replaced a Airport Extreme Router with the AC3100 as the main router and am replacing 4 Airport express with other Asus routers in mesh mode as money is available. Install was straight forward and easy, coverage and speed is better than the extremes. It let me run the existing airports as network extensions with no problem. The network is covering 3500 sq/ft 2 story home, pool deck, and shop. The AC3100 is covering the ground floor at 2500 sq/ft with all interior walls concrete block. Very impressed!

From a wifi router perspective, this has performed admirably for me. The signal on either band remains strong throughout my 1400 sq. foot ranch home and basement. Where I had issues was when I attached a storage drive to it. It maxed out one of the two CPU cores to 100% usage. All the time. Even when I wasn't using the drive. I tried two different USB drives with the same results. As soon as I unplugged them, the usage dropped to zero. The router works so well for wifi that I decided to keep it anyway.

I needed to replace a combined modem router. Spoke to multiple employees and they were right. Easy setup. Stronger and larger signal.

This is a great plug and play router. Easy set up, offers great bandwidth and the management software and complimentary app is fantastic!

Bought this router so as not to use a remote extension. Did not work at first using 5G. When I changed to 2.4G got the range.

Router is a easy setup, logging into the websight to create the router name and password is straight forward.
