Excellent 5mghz router with great range and throughput. 2.4mghz is passable but you can tell the work was done on the 5 side of the house. First time set up is a little kludgey but after that the GUI interface is easy to get around and get stuff done. Only strange item missing is there does not seem to be a transmit power setting. I am assuming it is already at max but I can almost see this router needing a dial down option for those who want to be good neighbors and not drown their neighbors ssid's out.

This router has the best coverage area for a 3700 sq ft home. I get a signal half way down the street. Very good customer service as I had to call them when I was setting the router up. My only complaint is that if you're using any down link switches, you'll need to go into the setup and make some changes. These weren't listed in the instruction manual but after speaking to customer service made the changes and everything worked well.

This router has kept us up and running with out any problems for some time now. Haven't had to reboot it a single time. Yah

I purchase this router to help with the amount of access my family needs. We have 2 xbox one consoles, 6 computers, 6 phones, and several tablets all running on wifi. This router does a great job at prioritizing traffic for xbox live and streaming tv. I would recommend this for any power user with several users and devices on wifi. The range for wifi is amazing. I can be on the wifi outside of my house on the opposite end of the router and in the basement and still have amazing speeds. Great product all around.

Had no problems with connection after i purchased this router. no more lagging.

I need VPN server capability and faster backup to hard drive attached to the router. Asus supports standard protocols without having to install VPN client software as well as supporting OpenVPN. Compared to my RT-AC68W (3 yrs old) my backups are twice as fast which is likely from the faster processor and more memory. Watch out for VPN on routers that don't support ios or android clients.

I switched to this router after my Nighthawk went out on my. I was not disappointed with either the range or connection speeds.

After my router died I was forced to buy a new one. If I was able to wait a few days I would have purchased the next model up from this one but this one was the only one available in the store. In my house I had a router, an access point, Wi-Fi extender and a powerline range extender and this router replaced all of those. At the furthest point in my house I still have 60% coverage. Setup did not go to smoothly but eventually got it running and have been very happy with it.

My Netgear nighthawk x8 died (11 months) and to be honest I bought the 3100 as a stand in. I was VERY surprised. Though the 3100 is a dual band vs the x8 (tri-band) the 3100 outperformed the x8 hands down. The web interface and mobile app interface are much more user friendly than the x8. Parental controls are fantastic and easy to use. Most importantly vpn took me 5 minutes to setup with ddns and I can now Stream my Xfinity anywhere like I am home. Love this router

This router has performed very well able to handle 13 devices... tweak test will be when I start Madden 18 and destiny 2

This router not only looks great, but it performs great. I had very similar performance for a router I paid half for.

We have a very large house. We equally spaced two units and synced both. So far connections have works flawlessly. Very happy.

This was a great product and had amazing range. I would recommend this for a pretty big house

I love this wifi so far ,speed is great feels like I am connected to the wire anywhere I am in the house it's that good.

Easy to set up. No issues. Customer service was great in helping to choose this item along with a modem.

Amazing range with this beast! Hands down the best router I’ve owned, and I’ve had plenty over the years.

My internet speed was slow and constantly had failure during watching shows on line. Now I don't have that problem.
