We needed better coverage in the house and this did the trick. Easy to set up and use. Got it on sale so very pleased

Covers a large range, even pool side! Speeds are incredible when paired with a Netgear CM1000 modem. Easy setup, just create the passwords. Was going back and forth between this and a tri-band, and this one is leaving nothing to be desired, and yet less expensive than the tri-band options.

The aces AC 3100 was extremely easy to get set up and get working right away. I have to say the range on this thing is incredible, I can't go anywhere in my house that it doesn't work in my house is 3600 ft.² all my games play flawlessly and my downloads are extremely fast on any of my wireless devices.

I am happy with this router. I purchased this to replace another router that I didn't get signal in throughout a 1600 sq ft house. This one allows me to connect everything and it doesn't seem to lag. It is bulky though. I wasn't expecting it to be so large but it does its job.

This has been an exceptional router despite the higher price tag. We moved to a much larger home that is 3000 sf and I am getting coverage upstairs and down without a repeater. Much better than the wireless router from AT&T. I don't have any drops and bandwidth is constant. At the furthest point in my house away from the router I still get about 40 Mbps on the 2.4 Ghz band. In my living room where my tv and streaming devices reside I am approximately 200 feet away from the router which is in a back bedroom/office and I get 130 Mbps on the 5 Ghz band. No buffering while everyone in the house is streaming or gaming at the same time. Configuring it is very easy. Remember to rename your admin account and change the default password for the router interface after you set it up for additional security.

More than 10x faster than our old n series router and now no lag when multiple devices are being used.

We bought our last router from Wal-Mart...we spent over $100 for it, thought it was a 'good' one and yet the internet would only work well for one person...the others would get sporadic connections. It didn't matter how close you were to the router...it would still disconnect constantly...except for the one other person. This one can have numerous things connected to it at the same time and we very rarely lose connection. It's great!

I tried a mesh system and had some connectivity issues with some of my devices. Then I decided to go back to an Asus router, I have not been disappointed! Excellent coverage area, excellent speed in the coverage area. Even when I have two bars on my mobile device it's still giving me excellent speed upload and download. The reason I liked the AC3100 was it's reliability. Before this router I tried the Ubiquiti AmpliFi, and Netgear Nighthawk AC4000. Both the AmpliFi and Nighthawk both kept having me restart the router, sometimes during normal use they both just went down for no reason. When I installed the Asus, it's been 1 months now, no restart just works and gets the job done. To me that's more important than special features, again the speed is excellent, coverage is excellent. I have a 2800 sq ft brick home, not easy on WiFi systems and I have full coverage with the Asus AC3100.

Bought this on the advice of a friend who said he has had ASUS router and was extremely satisfied. Well I can add myself to the list. Easy set up, great coverage, and fast! Highly recommend this router if you have a WiFi heavy home!

I have been looking for some time to replace my residential wireless router. I was reluctant to settle on any one brand or model due to the high percentage of negative reviews and poor customer service that seems to be a common thread. Anyhow, I settled on this Asus model and I am very satisfied with it's performance. My aging Belkin router was becoming less reliable and the range was shrinking. This AC3100 model was a home run out of the box for it's increase in speed and especially range. I live in a two story home, (3000 sq. ft) with a large deck on the second story. The router is placed centrally on the first floor with most of the users on the second level. All the features work and it has been totally solid for my first week.

Its has great range, very easy to install , it truly is worth every penny you spend on it!!!

This router has helped my online video streaming stability and also gaming for myself and my son. I needed to replace my old router and looked at several online sites for reviews and most said this was a great gaming router. The setup was very easy and I have over 25 devices to setup on my network. Overall stability has been excellent with no dropped signal like my old router. The app for my phone made is easy to label all my devices as I added them so I could see what each device was doing. I could also prioritize what devices received larger bandwidth for streaming and gaming. The interface for setup and managing it is great on a PC and has more functions then any person could ever want. I have always used Netgear and recommended them but I am very surprised how well this router stands up to them and would say buy this one instead.

If you are looking for a commercial grade feature rich router, then this is the router for you. This router has enough power to cover my entire property with excellent WiFI signal strength. I have not had any connection problems since its installation. I have also been able to eliminate some of my WiFI boosters around my house. Suggestion: Before you go through the complete setup I would recommend updating the firmware and doing a full reset (Press the reset button for 30 seconds). The firmware update changes the admin username and password so you will be unable to access the router administrator interface until you reset, which will remove all your settings, so save some time and do the upgrade first.
