Very reliable, has worked at home, got another for our vacation home

Been with asus for a while now. Upgraded from an ac66u. Was very satisfied with my prior purchase. Router for whatever reason stopped working but it lasted a few years before that. This new router as you probably know it looks like a beast! And well.... yes it is! I mainly use it for gaming and I noticed faster connectivity speeds as well as download speeds.

Plugged it in hooked it up worked. Nuff said. I don't need 50 chars!

Perfect for a smart home, savvy tech user and any casual user that wants easy plug and play connectivity. It has lot's of settings that can be user specified for parents, wifi, firewall, USB drives, VPN, QOS, you name it. A big plus is that it doesn't have to be constantly rebooted, in my experience it hasn't disconnected thus far and that's with a use period of a month.

I purchased this hoping to create a MESH with my multiple other ASUS routers. Unfortunately, the ASUS Mesh only works with a limited number of routers. It did not offer great coverage in my 6000 sq ft house. I returned this unit and purchased the Orbi unit that had good coverage, but this unit was inferior to ASUS in regards to software interface.

Needed access for more devices, and streaming this router works great.

Was a great choice for my son as he is a gamer for the PS4 an PC.

This is our go-to product whenever we need one for a client or for our office.

Bought to add wireless to my 10 year old slow DSL. Connected in a matter of minutes, attached a network printer and was off and running. Wireless is faster than using cables directly connected to my DSL modem. Can drive 3 computers at the same time from slow DSL, faster than wired. Must be the cache in the router. Highly recommend this device.

Powerful. User friendly interface. Love having two channels to isolate devices

I had to take this router back to BB. It lost most of my 2.4 devices in my smart home. It even had a no connection to my wireless printer. I bought a Linksys router and within 15 minutes everything showed up on the network and at a 100 bucks less. Asus Tech support was no help either.

This router is a beast. Weighing in at a whopping 2.5lbs, this monster has be able to keep up with the collective usage of 5-6 nerdy guys, concurrently running phones, PCs and gaming consols with no problem. If you want a wifi signal strong enough to blanket nearly 3 homes with no issues, this is the beast for you. It has a gaming accelerator built in to rival some actual digital devices even.

I needed a new router for my business, with all the employees and equipment starving for access we needed something capable of delivering wifi and internet with no lag in bandwidth. This router delivers in spades. Even with everyone connected we still have room for more. I love the guest feature to provide wifi for clients with full system security. Great router for the price.
