Works well, but needs professional installation

I was glad to purchase another Asus, a more powerful unit. The box says includes easy quick start instructions. Don't you believe it. It would not install and I followed the directions exactly. I had to call the Geek Squad to do the installation. I only hope it will continue to work well as the years go by.

After all, wired is better, but sometimes you need wireless. My Fios ethernet goes into the in and out goes to a 16 port switch that supplies the wired rooms. The wireless for my phone, tablet, and laptop is great. I don't need the features available through the smartphone app right now, but it's nice to know they're available.

Signal quality is great around the house with computers and cell phones and other mobile devices. You do have to buy your own screws or mount if you want to mount it to the ceiling or wall but once you do mount it, it looks really cool and high tech - especially if its next to a wall mounted modem.

Worked great for 4 days ...

Did the setup on the 5th worked fine, easy to follow directions, super fast. Was happy with it overall. Went back to work Monday 7/8/2019, did not use it. Tried to use it 7/9/2019 and no connectivity, did a power cycle and reset, got a flashing power light and no connectivity. I tried a system restore (good ASUS website directions), went well, but still not responding. I spent enough of my precious free time on this, so taking it back tomorrow. Not sure if going for a refund or replacement.
