This review is after 2 years of owning this product. Really good fast wireless router. Everything about this unit is good. Plenty of cooling fins to allow hot air out, reception is great since it has more antennas than a decepticon and the UI is easy to use.

Easy set up works great perfect for your internet needs

This router is great. Would be 5 stars but it didn't want to work right out of the box. It dropped the Internet several times a day when I first installed the router. I contacted ASUS and with a little searching I changed the DHCP query frequency from Aggressive to Normal and it's been smooth sailing since.

This router has worked really well for me. It goes through walls like no other router has. I am forced to have my router on one side of the house so that makes the opposite side of my house a "dead zone" or internet slows down a lot. Noticed a big difference once installed that I would not have this issue.

I recently bought the new ac3100 asus router for my apartment,with two tvs streaming and 3 Xboxes in the house we were in need of a better router.This one was recommended by best buy and it more then gets the job done.May be a bit overkill for my apartment but wireless signal is awesome now ty guys

Router is located in the basement directly under pipes, vent pipes, etc. Not the best for WiFi. I had a few dead spots with my wireless in the house, upstairs and on the first floor. Went with the ASUS for better wireless coverage and performance. Got It. No dead spots and speed test show full wireless speeds in all areas.

Fast and reliable coverage in a 3200 Sq foot home.

So I was torn between this and another router and opted for this one. My only disappointment is that the WiFi range seems to drop in quality through a couple of walls into my garage, yet I can go half a block away in the other direction and stream flawlessly.

Great router Easy setup and Highly configurable.

Good but I have had issues with Firesticks and amazon echo's staying connected to this, no matter how much I restart and check for updates, I cannot seem to keep them connected. Everything else works fine.

Easy to set up and has been working flawlessly....

The configuration options, the UI and the app for the phone makes this router a no-brainer for control and throughput of your home network. I bought a second one for a friend's place because mine is so good. Don't go cheap with these. This one is worth the money.

Only reason I replaced it was I moved to a bigger place and ended up getting a mesh network. Found out later that Asus lets you mesh any of their newer routers and I wish I could return the new one for another one of these. I love the app and all the controls Asus gives you

I built a new house and had cat6 run to every room. The Fios connection goes into the router in a closet in the middle of the house and back out to a 16 port switch. The router has a smart phone app that allows me to see what is happening. This gives me the best of wired and wireless connections in the house

We have a two story home with finished basement about 3900 square feet and this router covers the thing and the garage and driveway. I get a connection outside down the driveway at the mailbox! Excellent and worth the price! Even works with my cell in the tanning bed on the other end of house.

I bought this for a small business office that was running on a Comcast modem/router. Our service continuously deteriorated, but Comcast refused to identify their equipment as the culprit. This unit was installed, the Comcast router was bridged, and our service drastically improved.

Great product bit pricey but will get the job done

Upgraded my home wifi. Apple router was at end of life. Selected the ASUS brand and this model due to features and ability to manage settings w app. Neat feature is ability to set up mesh network w older ASUS router to expand my wifi coverage but administer from one box through app

I've had an ASUS router for several years now and I love it. My home is completely secure. Even if I bring in an outside PC to my network ASUS has a built in firewall and Virus protection to prevent any spreading of viruses that may be on the PC system I bring into my home network.

Easy set up & eliminated our WiFi dead spot in our kitchen. Works from any angle, flat, on edges. Make sure to give unit proper ventilation, as it does produce heat like any other electronics device. Comparably priced too.
