The box says it will cover 5,000sq feet but not without its problems. You’ll need a mesh network for that. Which this product can do! But expensive for this particular type of router to buy multiple instances of.

Our house is big with lots of aluminum backed insulation for sound proofing. That cuts the Wi-Fi signal ... this router gave the boost I needed to get signal outside on our deck and to the room at the far end of the house.

Purchased this router to replace an aging Apple TimeCapsule and what a big difference it makes. FYI, if you using HomeKit you will have to change some of the wireless settings to allow connectivity.

My grandson researched routers and when we made a decision to buy one, he and I went to our local Best Buy to look for one. We purchased the router, and he set up when we got home. Now Noone gets knocked of the Internet and it is great.

I really wanted a router where I would have more control. This router lets me set wireless schedules for my kids and the ability to turn WiFi on or off easily. This is besides the many other features it has.

My husband and I purchased this router to avoid paying a monthly leasing fee from our Internet company and it’s wonderful. It is dependable and it has given us peace of mind that it can handle our needs. Great product!

The reviews I had read were good, so I decided to try it. This beats all of my expectations. I increased my download speed by 8 MBS, I didn't have any idea why old router as was as slow as it was until I got this Asus hooked up.

Some occasional problems with the 2G and 5G that disappear.. when it works it is ok. Hope that it lasts considering the heat generated by the router. Software is the Asus software which is excellent.

upgraded to this router after poor performance from a atria surfboard modem/router combo.. I now have great wifi signal through my whole house and download speeds far exceeded my expectations. deffinently worth the money.

We have a challenging home for wifi coverage probably due to shielding from metal ducts. This is the first router that has allowed coverage in our whole home. I am VERY pleased and highly recommend it if you have similar problems.

This has been a great product, much better than the one we replaced. with the old one we had inconsistent wifi throughout the house, even in a room next to the router. This one provides fast, reliable wifi throughout the entire house.

I recently moved into a bigger house and my old wifi set up was not cutting it. So I bought this and it is amazing!!! I now have great internet connection anywhere in my house, even across the street. Well worth the money.

Worked awesome for 8 1/2 months. I was getting 800mb + throughput with my Samsung S 7 Phone using the 5GHz. Just after 8 1/2 months, the 5Ghz radio went out.

I paid a lot of money, and that is my only complaint. It comes with fancy software that isn't too hard to use but it might be an extra obstacle if you forget your password.

I've tried many others and they failed to push out the wi-fi signal throughout my house. This monster does a great job and if you use extenders they will have no problems grabbing the signal from this monster router.

I am a hands-on Microsoft Certified Engineer who regularly specifies and installs Asus routers and laptops. The reason I am writing this review IS TO WARN NON-PROFESSIONALS that Asus support has deteriorated to, what I can best describe "C- level " (That would be the letter C; with a minus sign next to it) competency. I recently documented an on-line support chat where the tech did not know what an ARP table was. If you are a typical technology user, the term ARP should mean nothing to you; you should never be in a position of having to address an ARP issue. However, if you are an IT Professional; ARP is taught at the networking 101 stage because ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) is a critical function when it comes to being able to communicate on the internet. Lets get to the point... Based on the tech I chatted with "There is absolutely no way to clear the ARP in any ASUS router" As a side note, I own and have also installed several higher-end ASUS Rapture models; and the same tech said it is impossible to clear that router's ARP as well. All in all, believe that what the tech stated is untrue; as most routers have some form of a command line protocol to clear tables. So, in summation: PROS: Asus produces a higher end, best bang-for-the-buck consumer routers and laptops! CONS: If you are not an IT Professional, I would not recommend an ASUS router as the public facing support team is much less knowledgeable and helpful versus a few years ago.

This made a difference in the quality of our internet experience right away. I'm sure we could benefit from it more if we had a better connection from our internet provider, but this has helped a lot.

I've owned 4 asus router and this one is the best. Love the coverage this router has and extra features. Will always be an asus buying. Being able to turn off the LEDs is really nice if the router is in the bedroom.

Upgraded due to streaming multiple apps simultaneous. This router is strong to meet those needs, Keeps band throughout house with no lagging. Firmware updates are needed to keep this device up to date, worthy of a purchase.

Gave good performance. Had a cool smart wifi option that integrated both 2.4 and 5ghz into a single SSID. I only had an issue with intermittent cutouts. I had to reset the router once a day to fix it
