    Don’t do it!

The WiFi on this thing is faulty. It’s fantastic when it works, but then it doesn’t and everyone is sad. If you do buy this, google this with Merlin and use that for the firmware update as their firmware will ruin this router. The features on the router are great and they work really well, but again, if the WiFi doesn’t work it defeats the purpose. And no, I didn’t hit the WiFi off button, though this is a common issue.

I've had this router for almost 6 months and it has been solid. I found some difficulty with heavy custom configurations, but overall a great router.

Wow, the coverage of the WiFi is incredible. 5,500 square foot. No problems with any device. Multiple outdoor Ring cameras, Sonos speakers etc...

I bought this router to replace an existing Asus router. It set up easily and then after a week dropped the internet connection. I was able to get it functional but it totally bricked and I could not communicate with it even after I reset it. So it went back to the store for a refund and I bought a Netgear tri band model. My prior experience with Asus was very good so this was disappointing. Hard to say whether it was a hardware or software problem but for that much money a router should last for a couple of years at least.

Replaced a D-Link that died after 6 months. I like that I can have separate 2.4 and 5 GHz network. Use the 2.4 for phones, laptops, guests. Save the 5 GHz for $K streaming to tow TV's with no issues.

This is a great router with high marks from lots of magazines. It gives you distance from your wifi and the web interface is one of the best I've seen . Only downfall is the usb3.0 is on front of the router

My first one failed within a couple of weeks, it stopped broadcasting. I exchanged it for a new one and purchased the geek squad warranty. I have not had a single problem with the replacement one.

The only complaint I have is currently you can't combine the 2.4 and 5 channel and have the router manager which channel the devices connect to. The settings menu can be daunting for novices.

The Asus router works great. It extended my range of Wi-Fi for my home. Also, I like the controls to monitor usage and block websites. The router allows for expansion and furthers controls of bandwidth.

The router works great and the web interface is fine. But the app sucks. It worked until the router updated and now will no longer connect.

The wifi improved from my old Apple Extreme that was about 10 years old. Great dashboard and access to so many tools for monitoring who bogs down my network.

This thing is pretty great. Wifi speeds are awesome and I have enough 1G ports for what I need. It's only locked up on me once so far which is superior to many other wifi routers I've had.

The router was awesome for the first 4 hours until the 5GHz radio died. Apparently this is a common failure for this model. It's a shame because the firmware is pretty great.
