Malfunctioning computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had two of these that needed to be returned due to malfunctioning. Would not load Windows. Each took a week of my time to get returned and reset. Store thinks it was a bad manufacturing batch.

great to have a new computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great to have a new computer, but it takes a while to get used to all the new options and to find certain familiar sites with Windows 10.

Good for the price easy to setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a good home tower, last one I am ever buying, to watch TV on and light game play. Machine was on sale and fit my needs. It has the power and speed I needed for my home use. I play an RPG game and it handles it quite well. What want to point out, the stock video was week and decided to upgrade and add a PNY Nvidia 2 gig card. I use the computer now with a 32 inch Sharp 1080P TV as a monitor and now its doing everything I want. Pro - Easy set up and power does what I want for a home machine. Plays light gaming without a problem and lets me do what I want on the Internet. Con - Video was week and I had to add an inexpensive video card - PNY - NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 2GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card The back shows 4 expansion slots but the mother board only had room for the video card. Not much room for expansion.

Very impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.wanted to buy a PC in order to start building my gaming machine. I didn't necessarily want to start from scratch but rather take a decent machine that has high potential for upgrading. After reviewing several desktops this is the one i thought was the best. Max RAM is 16GB of DDR4 and the MoBo can handle the 6th gen i7 quad core processors. After upgrading the PSU, RAM, and changing out the HDD for an SSD, then installing a GTX 1080. this machine is a BEAST! final build cost was around $1100 compared to the $1,500 to $2,000 i was calculating before.

Good Desktop with Expansion Capabilities
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The configuration of this desktop is decent enough for regular home office related work. It mainly shines possibility of expansion it offers. Pop in 4 GB of RAM and good NVidia graphic card and you have serious workhorse on your hand. Asus does make good quality desktop components, so this one does have good reliability associated with it.

Bad product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned asus computers and loved them. Went to best by and sales person asked what I was looking for and suggested that I buy this one. We had to order it. I got it 3 days later, took it home, hooked up everything and when I first turned it on there was no signal to the monitor. Shut it down and restarted it and video started working but in gray scale. Did some research online and found out that this model has bios and motherboard issues. Now it won't even boot after doing the suggested reset. Waiting for best buy to open up so I can give it back. Best buy customer service has been great even though this product was not.

Good Home Computer

Great, so far
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After research and some assistance with a product specialist, I purchased this one. It started off super fast and then, after a couple of weeks was simply fast. I didn't add much of anything to the computer intentionally, so that there was very few things to bog it down. Overall, it did well. So far, so good as I've had it only a month. I'd buy one again.

Possibly worst computer ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an IT technician for living. Got this computer for parents. Took it home and worked great for two days. Dad calls and said pc is not on anymore. It was on but lost video signal. I rebooted and it came back. Then, noticed user profile was corrupt. I ran hard drive diag and it said there were problems. I ran scandisk upon bootup and then it would not boot anymore with unaccessable boot device error. I tried startup fix but no luck. What really kills me is I then tried to format the hard drive and reload windows but it would not take. Just kept on saying there is a problem with PC. Returned computer and got something else.

Dont buy this item
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item in June of 2015 it started turning on my monitor on its own and then also disconnected from the monitor and I would have to reboot to get it connect again. By December I was sending my tower back to ASUS to fix as it shut down completely. After 3 months it was finally returned to me with an explanation that the hard drive went out. They sent me a new tower and about 3 weeks ago it again started doing the same thing the other one did. I am a owner of prior ASUS products.. the 2 laptops we purchased in 2009 are still running strong but now I am out shopping for another computer because my warranty is done on this one and I dont have the patience to deal with ASUS again.my old computer that cost me 300.00 lasted 9 years this one cant even make it to a year?

Oh my....Not good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had problems from start-up. Loss of video drivers, then the more I'd use it the quicker it would go black screen and say it was going to sleep mode. Once in that mode the only way back in was a hard reboot, only to more quickly encounter the same problem. ASUS support was fair. The first call got some things started then had me finish the rest on my own. Obviously this didn't work and I had to call back. After some unsuccessful efforts rep noticed how close to the return period was and said to take it back asap.

Worst experience in computers EVER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this computer in four days it crashed with the windows 10 update. Geek squad said they couldn't fix after 3 days waiting for my computer. Returned the first one they assured me that was extremely rare and I should give this computer another try. The second one crashed after 8 days!! My last computer lasted 6 years but became to slow. This system made me put at least w star I would give it negative stars because of the aggravation it has caused me!

don't buy an asus
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.after i hooked it up and got it going. i had a problem with windows edge internet browser. everytime signed into ebay the screen would reduce to the bottom and i couldn't read anything, the upper part of the screen went black. the other problem was the video driver keeps crashing. i updated drivers and so far it seems to be fixed. although it has happened since. the other problem is the letters and numbers on the keyboard are hard to read and even harder at night with the lamp on. they aren't bright white colored but are an off color thats hard to see. my dad has to use his reading glasses for typing.
